The party/celebration was loud and growing when I got there. Conner was in the front with a microphone in his hand next to his girlfriend. He called my name over the mic, "Jordan Chance make your way to the stage, now" He said. I did as I was told. "I, Conner Wade, reject you, Jordan Chance, as my mate and future Luna". Then I felt it, the worst pain of my life I felt like I was having a heart attack. But I had no choice "I, Jordan Chance, accept your rejection" & with that I walked away. When I was out of everyones view I ran into the woods, screaming, crying, I felt like I was about to die. What time is it? I look at the raggedy watch I kept in my pockets, if they knew I had it, they'd take it, it was my father's I found it before the alpha found me & Jacob years ago. It was 11:58 & at midnight I'd be shifting. As I sit there crying I start feeling a tug at my brain, it must be my wolf coming to me. But then I felt my bones break & change positions, it's happening. I screamed a few times then I felt free, on top of the world. I started running, throughout the woods, dodging trees and roots. I finally find a waterfall and look into the water. I can see myself perfectly in the moonlit water. I'm gorgeous, my wolf is silver with orange eyes. Why tho? I don't understand why orange. My human hair is blonde so I guess that's where the silver fur comes from. My wolf talks to me within my mind. "Hello Jordan" I hear her say, "my name is Sydney." "Hi Sydney!" I say, happy & cheerful, for the first time in many many years. I can be myself with her, bc she is me!
