"I'm here," my father said. No bullshit, I didn’t think he would be here right now. He smiled at me, my father always smiled at me, but this was the first time I saw it.
“Happy Birthday, son!” he said.
“Thank you, father,” I said.
“Come on, Uno! I’m not a priest, give me some love,” he said and invited me for a hug. He was cheesy like this, but I gave in and hugged him. I was towering over him, so he hugged me.
“You must be ecstatic that your mom is back?” he asked when he wrapped his arms around me.
“I am, but I am glad you can make it tonight, dad,” I muttered. He let me go when he heard I gave him love.
“Oh god, you called me dad; I think I’m gonna cry,” he said while fake stifling his supposed tears.
“Get used to it,” we shared laughter until I saw Mysty hanging out
