We finished with the setup before 11 AM, right on schedule. I gathered the people in charge of cooking to start prepping the food.
The drifters, as usual, cooked the food underground. The food smelled amazing! They did a great job!
I met with the hiking team after the cleaning team made everything squeaky clean again. The hiking team explained that it would be better to scatter across the micro-groups to keep everyone safer. I thought it was an excellent idea, so I agreed.
My phone wailed a few minutes later. I picked it up, and it was the private investigator I hired to find my mom. I answered the call, but I couldn’t hear anything.
“Hello? Huh? I can’t hear you well, send the report to my email,” I said and dropped the call. How hard was it to find a woman?
