Ellie’s P.O.V
I had Bri drop me off at the front gates to my mothers house. I suppose I should have told her I was coming, but then she would have had time to prepare the speech. I knocked on the front door while trying to put together what I’m actually going to say once I got inside. I’m soon interrupted from my thoughts when Josie, my mother housekeeper answers the door.
“Ms. Eleanor, what a pleasant surprise” Josie says with a huge smile opening her arms for a hug. “Come in, come in. So why the surprise visit?”
“I just really needed to talk to mama” I say with a slight frown.
“Of course darling. Let me go get her. Go into the family room. I’ll have her meet you there” she says while walking away to fetch my mother.
