Dark strangers

He sat there on the roof of the castle staring out towards the lake. When some movement below caught his eye. Looking down he sees a beautiful maiden with long brown hair flowing over her blue robe going to gather water by the stream feeding the lake. He thought to himself she must have just gotten her with the other newcomers seeking sanctuary. He took a drag on his pipe letting out a huff he say “ I’m gonna have to talk to her soon.” Something was familiar about her n it was bothering him. He quietly jumps off the roof landing with a quiet thud he walks off towards to tracing grounds. He quickly dodged the sparing matches as he heads to the automated dummies. Throwing hooks n jabs n kicks countering the spins n hits from the dummy before sending it flying into the wall from the force of him roundhouse. His head hanging low as he catches his breath he looks out towards the lake once more before heading inside to shower. Unknown POV: Walking out to the lake after traveling so far felt so good. She sat by the lake gathering water her blue robe she got when she arrived piled on the ground beside her. She felt a familiar yet unfamiliar presence but when she turned all she saw was a dark cloaked figure walking away. Her green eyes turned back to the lake. After a few more minutes she got up n wandered around taking the opportunity to learn about her new surroundings. She paused by what looked to be the training grounds her eyes finding the same dark figure she saw earlier before she continued looking around finding her way around to the forest she sat beneath a huge oak tree. She dozed off for a few minutes before hearing the queen calling Topaz dinner is ready if you’d like to join us. A smile touches her peach colored lips as she get up n heads to the small wash room outside to clean up before making her way to the dining hall. Upon entering the dining hall she pick the third seat in on the right side Unknown POV: After he showered he headed down to the dining hall for dinner not paying much attention where he ways going he walking into one of the guards. “Watch it Czarine what’s gotten into you today” Shadow asks. “Oh sorry Shadow I was just going over some stuff in my head” “it wouldn’t have to do with the new girl would it”Shadow suggested tilting his head. ”I think she’s the one I rescued years ago” Cz admits as he walks into the dining hall. Talking to Shadow he sits at the end seat on the left before looking up as he does his eyes lock with hers. He gives her a slight nod before he continues talking to Shadow. “ you know how I’ve always wondered what happened to her” “Yea I know”Shadow replied between bites “That attack still haunts me from time to time” Cz states as he chews looking at the scars just visible on his arms. Topaz POV: As I eat can’t help but glance at him there something about him that’s familiar. I just can’t place it. Turning to my friend I ask her “Rose who is that with Shadow?” She looks up “ oh that’s Czarine their head warriors from what I’ve been told he’s a bit of a loner not much it known of his past” glance at him again we lock eyes “there’s something about him that’s familiar like I’ve met him before. Czarines POV: I keep looking over at her as I eat my dinner. I look around the hall for a moment before my eyes wonder back to her our eyes lock n I know she is as a flashback plays in my mind. Flashback 20 years earlier A young girl is shaking in fear after a were tiger attack her family leaving her as the only survivor. He gets her to calm down just as a stick cracks in the woods he tells her to run as he turns to face the beast. Opening his white wings just before being slammed into the ground his arm moving up just in time to prevent the breast from biting his neck. The teeth digging deep into his arm instead. He reaches back with his free hand pulling his silver sword from its scabbard and in one swift movement brings the sword down on the were tigers leg. The beast leaps back with a roar of pain before preparing to attack gain giving Cz just enough time to jump up. Just as to beast jumps towards him again he swings the sword effectively beheading the beast. As he takes deep breaths fighting off the burning pain coming from his arm he plunges the sword into the beasts heart before he staggers of as the venom starts changing his feathers. End flashback “She is the one” he whispers as he dinner turning to Shadow he says “ I have to go” as he gets up to leave his cloak gets caught n reveals a small portion of his white black tipped wings before he covers it back up he glances around no one but her saw. He rushes out of the castle heading to his favorite stump on the edge of the woods by the lake. As he sits he removes his cloak as twilight approaches stretching his wings he pulls out his pipes taking a drag off it he stares out over the lake. As he sits starring out over the lake he flexes his scarred arm wondering how he’s going to talk to her. He sighs as he replaces he pipe in the pocket of his cloak. Knowing he had better get back to his watch but needing the calm his mind, he stashes his cloak as he lets his body begin changing. His bones snapping n cracking as they shift white fur with black stripes erupts over his body his teeth elongate into those of a tiger he drops to all fours leaping into the woods letting out a roar. After running for 15 minutes he returned to the stump shifting back as he got closer he pulled he cloak back on before heading to his watch. As he approached he spot he relaxed a little needing to keep an eye out as he did every night since he arrived here 10 years ago. Looking out into the woods he was content for once he felt like it was home. He knew it was because of her.
