CHRIS HAD CHECKED in at the Mayo Clinic’s hospital and was in the process of changing into a hospital gown.
“Here we are again,” he said.
“Yeah, this is getting to be a habit,” Mickey said.
“Hopefully, we’ll break that habit today.”
“Stranger things have happened. You’ve been so busy, you probably haven’t had time to think about it,” Mickey said.
“That’s for sure, and I met my goal of finishing the book before my surgery. All I have to do now is spend the next three months polishing it and adding a chapter or two concerning today’s results.”
“From what you’ve told me, maybe we ought to purchase a little table for the bathroom.”
“Why? Oh, you mean because I’ll be spending so much time on the throne for the first several weeks.”
