“THAT WAS FUN,” Chris said, as they exited the Brooks Brothers store.
“You mean spending money?” Mickey said.
“Not at all. I was referring to buying clothes. I haven’t done that for a while. In fact, I haven’t purchased much of anything, except socks and underwear, since I got out of the Navy.”
“That’s because you wear scrubs at work, and since you’re the same size you’ve always been, you don’t outgrow your clothing.”
“I can’t help it that I stopped growing at eighteen. You, on the other hand, kept at it for a couple of years.”

“Going shopping together was fun. Thanks for driving us out here, Mick.”
