20 – Doctor Lefty
Hailey’s POV:
Doctor Aslands was blubbing like a fish. His face had a look of astonishment, so no matter what he said, I couldn’t even take him seriously. The sound of Theo’s equipment beeping shifted my focus from the man.
“Hailey, his blood pressure is dropping. We have to keep going.” Scott informed me.
“Hailey, focus on Theo. I’ll make sure Aslands will answer your questions later.” Zino assured me, who immediately left the gallery and came to the operating room.
Within five minutes, Aslands had been taken away and Scott and I could continue with our operation.
A nurse was kind enough to help me get back into my OR scrubs. With two layers of gloves on, I repack the instruments I had just put away and Scott followed my lead.
