Theresa stared at the coat draped over the chair, she really wanted to see him. She stared at it for a few minutes and someone watched her from the side.
"You met a man last night didn't you." Theresa jumped at the sudden voice, her head snapped on the other side of the bed Denaya was twirling her bra on her finger.
"Is that mine?" She asked as she stared at the D cup. "Don't change the topic. Who is he? What did he do to make you stare at that coat for the past 30 minutes." Denaya pushed. Theresa gulped as she felt her friend come closer.
"If you won't tell me. The I'll tell everyone that you met a stranger at night." She smiled. "You wouldn't dare." She glared at her as she stood from her bed.
Denaya shrugged and quickly bolted for the door, Theresa running after her "Hey guys! Guess what!" Denaya screamed down the verandah to the boys cabin. "Denaya!" She screamed.
Theresa saw Ryan coming out of his room and Denaya looked back at her as she smirked and ran towards the door "You b***h!" Theresa mumbled as she pumped her legs faster "Hey Ryan did you-" a hand clamped her mouth from behind "Did you know that Denaya has always looked up to you?" Theresa quickly answered.
"Mmf.mffo mou." Denaya squirmed as she tried to protest against her.
"It's true. She's always look up at you since you two were kids."
Ryan raised a brow at his childhood friend and smirked. "It's as if she's got a crush on me." Denaya's eyes widened as she shook her head.
'The f**k? You think she would ever like you in that way? How arrogant can you be?' Theresa pulled a sour face but she quickly nods and answered
"Yup."
She walked back with a thrashing Denaya. Ryan shook his head and ran a hand through his hair "Sorry Dennie, but as you saw yesterday. I'm taken. Maybe next time." He winked.
Denaya flipped him off as she was dragged back to their room. Cursing incoherent words at her childhood friend.
Theresa closed the door and turned to see a pissed off Denaya "Hey. You deserved it."
Denaya rolled her eyes. "He thinks that-" she began.
"I'll tell you...as long as you swear not to say anything." Theresa quickly cuts in, Denaya sighs and nods.
So she told her about their encounter, Denaya had a raised brow the whole time, Theresa kept on with describing how he looked, how he smiled.
"And....and h- he kissed-"
"Whoa! Hold the f**k up!" Denaya stood up as she walked towards shaking her friend. "Are you crazy! You just met a stranger and you let him kiss you?" She screamed on. "He could have aids, he could have kissed a girl that had aids!" Denaya kept shaking her friend back and forth.
"Hand! He kissed my hands Dennie." Theresa interrupted making the girl stop. "Oh, why didn't you say so?" She said as she went back to her seat. Theresa held her spinning head as she sat down "Gee, why didn't I think of that?" She asked sarcastically.
"So this Dwayne. How old is he? What does he do for a living? Where does he live? Better yet what's his i********:?" Denaya wiggled her brows playfully.
"I...I don't know."
Silence.
"Wow, you met not only the hottest guy you've ever met in your life but you didn't get his last name....better yet his number?" Denaya shook her head in disappointment "I dunno Dennie, I was kind of caught up in how lost I was? Figuring out if I was gonna live or not." Theresa rolled her eyes once again.
"Right, right. I forgot." Denaya leaned back on the camp bed as she hugged her pillow close to her chest. Theresa walked towards the bed and sat next to Denaya they both stared at the wall in front of them and thought for sometime. "Too bad." Theresa sighed as she leaned on her shoulder "That you'll never see him again?" Denaya questioned. "Yeah. It was too good to be true." Theresa closed her eyes as she tried to remember his eyes. Azure blue, soft yet playful.
"You have bad luck with men." Denaya finally broke 10 minutes of silence, Theresa didn't bother to fight she just silently cried jokingly. "I'll be 50 before I meet my husband." She sobbed, Denaya stroked her hair.
"There, there. At least you'll meet your husband, I'd probably die before I meet mine with all these crazy stunts that I'm doing."
"So basically we have bad luck with men?" Theresa looked at her friend who seemed to have zoned off in realisation.
"f**k!"
