Trevor Who is she? I have a mate so why am I obsessing over another girl? It’s completely unheard of to have a werewolf even think about another girl when they find their mate. I can’t believe it’s happening to me. My mate, Laney, and I have been through so much after she got kidnapped. I thought we would finally get a break. We are happy and in love. It was perfect until this girl showed up. Now I have to figure this out so things could go back to perfect. I saw Amber last month when Laney and I were out dancing the night away to salsa music. Amber was dancing by herself, almost seductively. Her eyes were only on me. If that wasn’t already weird enough, I find her brining coffee to me at work the next day. She apparently picked up a secretary job for Max, our Beta and Vice President of Sales and Services of our travel agency. Even though she had no business being in my office, she made an effort to bring me coffee everyday. She dressed in low cut tops and short skirts. Totally not appropriate office wear. I told Amber many times that it was not necessary to bring me anything or show up at my office! I need to be more firm. I should tell Max to find a new secretary. However, deep down inside, I knew that Amber would find a way to enter back into my life. She seemed to be after me, I just didn’t know why. Why am I so drawn to her? There is definitely something suspicious going on here. I just couldn’t figure out what. Maybe it's because she looks so much like Laney. She has brown hair. Green eyes, not as deep as Laney’s green eyes, but still green. Her hourglass figure matched Laney’s. She definitely seems like my type of girl, but I am sure I never slept with her before. Wait, did I just compare some random girl to my mate? What the f**k is wrong with me? That’s it! Laney and I have to have a talk about this. I ignore the stares as I get up and leave in the middle of work. I have more important things to do. I go to the packhouse, up to the sixth that we refer to as our sexth floor. I find Laney in her office studying for one of her college classes. She looks up at me as soon as I walk in. A smile spreads across her perfect face. I suddenly lose my determination to have the talk I came here to have. I didn’t want to see a frown on that face. Ever. Maybe we could just have s*x and forget about this nonsense. “Hey babe, you are home early. Did you miss me already?” She teases. I was late to work today because of her morning teasing. After training, I went to shower and change in our room. I had lots of work piling up but all those thoughts went out the window when I saw her. She was sitting at the edge of the bed wearing a black satin slip. Her legs were crossed but she had the irresistible f**k me look on her face. I didn’t care how sweaty and dirty I was, I had no choice but to oblige. Besides, we took a shower together and got cleaner. I think. It would be so much easier to just give in, but I seriously needed to tell Laney. She deserved to know what was going on in my head. “Babe, you know I miss you all the time but I came by to tell you something,” I say. “Ah, that’s no fun, Trevor! If you wanted to ‘just talk’ you could have called. Now I have to try to listen while staring at that body.” I look at her innocent face. It’s time to rip off the Band-Aid. “I am attracted to someone else.” I see her smile disappear as her face contorts into confusion. “What do you mean?” “There is this girl at work. I don’t know why, but I am attracted to her.” “Did you sleep with her?” “No, Laney. I would never do that. I came here because my mind can’t stop obsessing over this, and I can’t stand it! I promised you that you are my one and only. I still mean it! I just don’t know why I can’t stop thinking about her. I felt like you deserve to know. I want to be honest with you.” She takes a deep breath and closes her eyes. She didn’t automatically reject me so that must be a good sign, right? Laney I stare at Trevor as he tells me that he has some sort of feelings for another woman. It hurts. It hurts even more because of my past. I lost my virginity to a guy when I was seventeen. He claimed he felt the mate pull towards me, and I fell into his trap. I found him cheating not too long after. Then, when I turned eighteen, I found out that his ‘mate pull’ bullshit was just a lie to get into my pants.  And here is my actual mate, standing in front of me, telling me this. I told Trevor about my past. I told him how insecure it made me feel. How much I have trouble trusting new people. I love this boy. He told me I was his one and only. So why does he have feelings for someone else? I have never heard of this. Is it because we haven't marked each other? No, that doesn't make sense.  I felt jealous and broken but I wasn’t going to let him see that. I have always stood tall, and I will stand tall now too. After some deep breaths, I open my eyes to stare into Trevor’s brown eyes. It’s almost like they are pleading with me to not leave. I could leave; after all, we haven’t marked each other. However, this man owned my heart and I knew a part of me would always belong to him. I guess it’s time to stand and fight for us. I am just not ready to do it at this moment. I need some alone time to think this through. “Babe, thank you for being honest. I don’t know what to say. I think I just need some time to process this.” He comes over and pulls me up into a hug. My traitorous body starts responding to his touch. I feel my heart pounding. My body starts craving. He moves his hands slowly up and down my sides. His touch leaves tingles all inside my body. He suddenly fists my hair with his hands and pulls down, forcing me to look into his eyes. I can see the need in his eyes that I am sure reflects my own. Resist. This is not what I am supposed to be doing! What happened to time to process this. I try to remind myself of my own words and fail miserably.  His eyes turn a shade dark as he smashes his lips against mine. His other hand starts slowly going down towards my core. I didn’t know I would be getting some entertainment too. If it was anyone else, I would have grabbed some popcorn. However, I really don’t ever want to see my brother screwing anyone. Especially not my sister to be. Though I guess I am glad it's not someone else?” “Nell, I forgot you were coming. I am sorry you had to see that. Trevor, if you don’t mind, I have plans with Nell today. You should go back to work.” Trevor gives me a look of longing before walking away. I will have to try to process what he said at another time. I have to finish studying for my chemistry class with Nell. I go wash my hands. I am pretty sure Nell wouldn’t want me passing any paper back and forth with any hand that was just around her brother’s d**k. As I sit and study with Nell. I try not to think about who this other girl is, but my mind keeps wandering back to her. Do I know her? Have I seen her before? Who is she?
