THIRD PERSON’S POV It was raining that morning. The rain pounded heavily against the roof, splashing rapidly against the windows, but it couldn’t wash away the burden sitting on Russell’s chest. He stood by the window for a while, watching the rain fall in thick lines, his thoughts tangled and restless. The board meeting was scheduled for today, yet his father had said nothing to him about it. That silence alone was enough to make worry sit deep in his chest.
