Morgan’s POV
This woman sitting in front of me is a one-woman army, it is clear she doesn’t do well working with others. Thanks to the Marino family she doesn’t even trust herself, it’s a pity because she holds more power than I think even her own father realises. She is always a step ahead, never looking back.
I know she has a plan and I know it will work; I just don’t want to lose her along the way. She doesn’t know when to stop, that is her only true flaw and it could also end up being her downfall. I, like the others wait to hear her plan. When she starts explaining, I can’t help but agree with her.
Sirena’s (Savannah) POV
My father, Morgan and Taylor are all looking at me waiting for me to start explaining, I take a breath and get it over with “I love Morgan, but I don’t want to marry him as Sirena. Legally we have to wait for Enzo to die or divorce me. So, I want to bring our fake wedding forward. Let him take me on our wedding day, he will release me the same night or following day.” I stop to see what they are thinking.
My father speaks first “And if he refuses to let you go?” I almost scoff at his question. I have to stop myself from rolling my eyes.
“That’s where my eyes and ears come in.” I smirk towards Taylor who looks at my father.
“Mr Costa I promise on my own life I will bring her home if he won’t let her leave, you have no idea of the network your daughter has. She has people willing to throw away their lives to save hers, I’m not trying to be disrespectful. To any of you, but you have no clue who this girl is,” the look Taylor give my father has such conviction.
I could see the inner struggle my father was having, finally he sighed, “Fine, but me and you need to have a few words giovane signora. (Young lady.)”
I really had to fight the urge to roll my eyes and tut this time, but I managed to bite my tongue. Morgan clears his throat, “What’s the rest?” I give him a confused look, “I can see in your eyes, there is more to this plan.” I was shocked it was only a fleeting thought, I really think it’s too risky.
Morgan gives me a stern look, “Savannah had secrets, Sirena doesn’t.”
I curse him internally for using my words against me. I take a breath and ready myself for the onslaught I’m going to get when I finish “I just thought maybe I shoulder reveal myself a littler earlier than planned, I could force him into a divorce… BUT it was a fleeting thought, I know it would be stupid and risky,” I look at all of them with total honesty on my face.
My father shocked me, “Maybe not…” I looked at him with my mouth gaping as I’m sure Morgan and Taylor are as well. Is he f*****g crazy, unless, no I couldn’t, could I.
Taylor shakes his head, “f**k, she’s got an idea!” I smirk as all eyes met mine.
Morgan mutters “Fuck.” Taylor continued shaking his head, while my father looks a little worried.
I look at my father and say softly “Papa, I promise no one will get hurt.” I looked at each of them, “What if I took something so precious to him, he would agree to anything to get it back.” I smirk as all three men looked between each other, then at me unsure. I did roll my eyes this time “I’ll take Gabriella.” I could see the shock on their faces.
I rolled my eyes again, “I have no intention of hurting her, as soon as he signs the papers, I will let her go unhurt.” I am the one shaking my head now these men are meant to be the most feared. I have another thought, “Oh, f**k no. Principessa, what the f**k are you planning now?”
I can’t help the smirk I have again. I think I may have just out done myself with this idea.
I look at each of them trying to hold in my squeal of excitement “What if when he takes me to ‘Dinner’ I’m Savannah. I hand him the papers at dinner and show him his mother with papa dearest here and Morgan.” I have to stop the happy dance I want to do.
My father looks at me proudly, “Details.”
I squeal knowing he is on board, I don’t even look at the other two before explaining “We take her a few days before the wedding, we contact Enzo as her and say the wedding invitation and Lorenzo are too much and she needs a break. She has done this before so it will be nothing odd to Enzo.”
“We will make the wedding announcement as soon as possible. It will be in three months, that gives me just over a month of training after the corrective surgeries. It also gives Enzo time to plan so nothing goes wrong, and we make sure it doesn’t.” I can see them all thinking about it.
“Are you sure this will work?” I turn to Morgan with a smile.
“Yes, and it also means we can plan our real wedding. How does a month after our fake wedding sound?” Morgans face breaks into the widest smile I’ve ever seen him with, he then frowns and turns to my father.
He gets up and walks in front of him before kneeling, my father looks down at him, “Mr Costa, I know it didn’t end well before, but I promise to never hurt her. Will you please give me permission to marry your daughter?”
My father and I were taken aback, Taylor was smirking like he knew this would happen. My father recovered quicker than me and placed a hand on Morgans shoulder “Son I would be honoured to call you my son in law, you both have my blessing.”
I didn’t know what to say or what was happening if I’m being honest. The next thing I know Morgan is in front of me on his knees, he has a small black box in his hand as his other takes mine that are in my lap.
He looks into my eyes, “Savannah, it should have always been you and me but that isn’t the way fate wanted it then. However now it does, I saw you looking at this in the shop and I knew this is the one you wanted as Savannah. I also know the one you picked was Sirena, so…”
Morgan stops and takes off the engagement ring I picked as Sirena. He was right I did see another one, if I was engaged as Savannah that was the ring I wanted. Morgan opens the box, it is the one I fell instantly in love with, I gasp, “Savannah please agree to be my wife in four months, as you Savannah and no one else.” I could feel my tears.
I couldn’t speak because I would have cried, and I’m talking ugly crying. Instead, I furiously nodded my head, everyone chuckles as Morgan put my dream ring on my finger and kissed the back of the same hand.
My father patted him on the back and looked deep into my eyes, “Principessa, I’m so happy for you both, but for now maybe keep this between the four of us.” I nodded in response understanding what he meant ‘Don’t tell your mother.’
I look at the ring as Taylor shook hands with Morgan, it really was the exact ring I wanted. I can’t believe he caught me looking, I really thought I hid it well or maybe Morgan knows me better than I thought. Before I can really appreciate it, I have to take it off and put the god awful one back on, this one really wasn’t me at all but that was the point.
Once we all settled back in our seats I ask, “So do we all agree.” I look at each man to see them all nodding in agreement, “In the meantime we continue to mess with his meetings and any shipments, Morgan, I’m putting you and my father in charge of f*****g them up for me. I will need to concentrate on the surgeries and recovery, we will tell everyone that Sirena was shot and is recovering from that.” I add to them all nodding again.
My father stands, “Well let’s go tell your mothers they get to plan a party announcing your wedding date.” I smile as he winks at me, then something occurs to me, “We should really involve Uncle Rico, Shaun, and Ignacio, the more men my men have for backup the better.” I know they will all agree, Morgan calls his father and my father calls Rico and Ignacio.
