Chapter 11

2055 Words
Sirena's (Savannah) POV I smirk at him again before calling over my shoulder “It’s ok Tom, out you come.” I keep my eyes fixed on Morgan. His eyes are looking over my shoulder confused, that is until the picture behind me beeps and opens revealing Tom. Morgan jumps up and stares down at me, he shakes his head before muttering “Of course you have a secret room in here.” Tom walks over nervously, when he is stood in front of Morgan and me, he shuffles on his feet a little. I smile softly at him before saying “Tom, please don’t be nervous. Please, have a seat.” Morgan slowly sits back down as Tom takes the seat in front of me, I look at Tom and introduce the two men “Tom, this is Morgan Quinn. Morgan, Tom Holden.” I watch as they both lean forward to shake hands. When they are seated again, I start to explain what will happen next “Tom your girlfriend is in one of our safe houses, she has been well looked after I promise. I have spoken to her and explained some of what you know, and she too has agreed to take the same drug as you.” “I want to assure you that you will both lose no more than seventy-two hours, once you have both taken the pill you will both meet in a private airfield.” I give Tom a second to understand. I take a breath, “Now as we discussed your leaving over a week ago you will remember that and, you will believe you were on a special job for Sirena, and she agreed to help you out of this life.” “Your girlfriend has all your new papers and information, there is a nice bank account for you that should last you the rest of your lives. The only thing left in our agreement is this.” I place the pill I want Tom to take in front of him. I gesture to the sink so he can get his own water, knowing I can’t have drugged it. Although everyone knows I am a woman of my word, I don’t break my agreements. Tom takes the pill and sits back in front of me, he looks at me nervously and asks, “When will it happen?” I smile at him again and answer “Any second.” Tom suddenly grabs his head shaking it slightly from side to side. He stops a few seconds after starting and looks up at us with a confused expression, he eyes Morgan then turns to me, “Ms Sirena, not to sound rude but what am I doing here. In fact, how did I get here?” I look at him with pity and responded, “Tom remember when I came to you and asked if you would do something for me, and in return I would do something for you.” I wait for him to think through what memories he does have. I see the moment he remembers as he looks at me with worried eyes and asks, “Did I do it then?” I offer a small smile and explain “Oh Tom, you did a wonderful job. As I promised your girlfriend is safely waiting for you at the airstrip.” “She has everything you both need to start your new lives. Just promise me one thing Tom, be happy and look after yourself.” Tom looks at me with a shocked look as he nods his head, I smile widely at him, “Well go on, there’s a car waiting to take you to your new life.” I laugh when he jumps up and runs for the door. He pauses with his hand on the handle, he turned slowly and smiled at me. I gave him a nod indicating he didn’t have to say anything, with one last nod from him he left and closed the door behind him. Morgan wraps his arms around my waist lifting me from my chair, I squealed at the unexpected move. He pulls me into a tight embrace whispering into my hair “You’re a big softy really, I can’t believe you did that for him.” I shrug and turn in his arms. When we’re face to face, I peck his lips and say “He did nothing but help me, I can understand wanting to keep your family away from this life if you have the chance.” “After the risk he took, it was the least I could offer him.” I’m caught off guard as Morgan smashes his lips to mine, when he pulls away, he growls “God woman, you are something else,” I can only chuckle as he buries his head in my neck, no doubt leaving marks all over my neck. A throat clearing at the door has me tensing and Morgan growling, we both pull away and look to see Taylor standing there awkwardly. I roll my eyes at him as Morgan growls “Why are you always f*****g interrupting us?” Taylor holds his hands up and replies “Hey not my fault you keep getting steamy at work, anyway I thought our time together meant you love me as much as Sav.” I shake my head at Taylor while Morgan hurls a pen at him. Taylor ducks just as the door opens and the pen hits my father square in the forehead, I hold in my laugh for all of a second before it burst out of my mouth. Taylor and Morgan both look at my father as he bends to retrieve the pen, he stands up and eyes all of us “I’m going to assume this wasn’t meant for my head.” I’m still laughing too hard to answer. I am ugly laughing at this point and although my father looks pissed, I don’t miss the glint in his eye either, this only making it harder to contain myself. Morgan jumps up and starts apologising as he walks towards my father, my father seeing Morgans worry and bursts into his own fit of laughter. He and Taylor scowl at my father and I while we continue to laugh, after a couple of minutes my dad recovers enough to say, “Sorry boys, but your faces were too tempting not to mess with.” I’m still laughing holding my stomach. My father shuts the door behind him and looks around, he has never actually been in my office, so he had no clue what I had done with it. He looks impressed as he takes a seat in front of my desk. I gesture for Taylor to follow and Morgan to retake his seat. I forgot I had invited my father here but now that he is I think he should know about Lorenzo, I’m not sure how he will take it but I bite the bullet anyway. I clear my throat and look him in the eye before telling him everything that has just happened, when I’m done my father sits back in his chair and lets out a huff. He looks at Morgan and then at Taylor before looking back at me, he gives me a warm smile I wasn’t expecting. He sees my look of confusion and chuckles “I didn’t expect you to let this go, neither did I expect you to go easy on him. When he helped Dante cover up hurting you, well he destroyed any relationship we had. Then he had the audacity to continue, causing the loss…” I look away from my father as the words get stuck in his throat. I nod, “I know papa, he will suffer the same fate as our angle I will ensure it.” I look back at my father to see tears glistening in the corners of his eyes. He coughs and looks down for a second and when his eyes meet mine again. They have a fierce look to them, he nods at me and says, “I know you will principessa, you will give them cazzo di inferno (f*****g hell.)” I smirk at my father as he does the same. Taylor looks at me and asks, “So what is the plan?” I don’t know yet, but I want him to know that I did this to his father although I’m sure he knows. I look at all three men sitting before me and say, “I’m going to call him and send him our condolences for his loss.” I shrug smile sweetly. They all visibly shiver and that only causes my smile to form into a smirk, I pick up my phone and dial his office number. “Hello Enzo Marino’s office, can I help you?” “I’d like to speak with Mr Marino please.” “Oh um, I’m afraid Mr Marino isn’t taking calls at present.” “Tell him I wish to pass on my condolences, I’m sure he will want to speak with me.” “Hold the line please.” Some shuffling around “I knew it was you.” “I’m sorry, I don’t know what you mean. I simply heard some rather disturbing news about your father, I want to offer my condolences.” “Stop with the f*****g bullshit Sirena, we both know it never suited Savannah and it certainly doesn’t you.” “Tut tut, Enzo still comparing me to Savannah, you can stop now we are practically the same person. Neither better nor worse than the other, how is daddy dearest?” “What the f**k do you want, just get to the f*****g point Sirena.” “Now, now Enzo. It sounds like you want to kill me, just as you did your wife!” “You are walking a very thin line woman; I haven’t decided what to do with you yet. “Oh Enzo, not sure if you want to kill me or f**k me hmm?” “Have dinner with me?” “And why would I be so stupid?” “Haven’t you ever been reckless before, never blindly trusted yourself?” “No! I learnt a long time ago to never trust anyone, especially oneself.” “Oh, sweet Sirena you are clever but honestly, it’s only dinner. As I said I have not decided what to do with you yet, who knows maybe dinner will give me the answer.” “Hmm, Enzo it is going to take more than words to make me have even one percent trust in you, I politely decline the dinner invitation. Besides what would my fiancé say when I tell him, see we have no secrets that’s the only difference between me and Savannah.” I take the phone away from my ear before he can respond and end the call. I look at all of them shocked, my father breaks the silence, “Don’t even think about it, you are not going, never mind alone.” I smirk at my father, “I never go into any situation alone.” I flick my eyes to Taylor who smirks at my dad. I roll my eyes as I spell it out to them “He wants me and he doesn’t understand why, I will be having dinner with him with or without mine or your permission.” I look at all their confused faces and huff “Oh, for god’s sake. Enzo wants me to have a meal with him, if I won’t do it by choice, he will make it happen with force,” I slap my own forehead at their stupidity. Taylor clears his throat before saying “But we won’t let that happen…” I interrupt him “Oh yes you f*****g will.” “No!” I jump a little as they all scream together. I look at each of them before shaking my head at them, “We will let it happen and we are going to make it easy, and again I won’t be alone.” I can’t help the smirk I’m giving them when they finally realise, I have a plan for this.
