Chapter 28We landed the Bell helicopter in Noumerat - Moufdi Zakaria Airport in Ghardaia about 9 a.m. We refueled and relaxed in a small diner for maybe 20 minutes. It feels so good to stretch out after being so cramped up. I called to check on the ground team. They now felt a lot safer with a truck load of troops in front and a truck load at the rear. They reported that they will be at the Trans-Sahara Highway in about 4 hours which would be 1 p.m. and not stopping for lunch would put us in In Salah by 8. They said today is turning out to be a really long, long day.
