The Cold CEO
It's another working day! Liam entered the grand, gleaming lobby of Dove Empire and the moment his leather shoes clicked against the polish floor, the entire space fell silent.
Employees froze in a place, eyes glued to their desks, their breath shallow as if a single misstep would draw his wrath. He smirked, relishing their terror.
He moved towards the private elevator, his footsteps were the only sound echoing the hall. Liam loved the power, he loved the way people feared him. It was better that way, no one daring to speak in his presence unless he commanded it.
As he neared the elevator, his gaze flicked to a young woman, who stood trembling at her desk, head bowed like the rest. With a cold smirk, he walked over, his presence was suffocating.
"Nice top" he muttered, his tone dripping with sarcasm.
The woman stammered a "thank you" but her face had drained of color.
As soon as he stepped into the elevator, she collapsed. A pity, but at least she knew her place.
It's no surprise that he had graduated from the best school in Singapore and his clothes were designed by Louis Stone, America's best designer.
Liam was a fashionista with an annoying attitude. He became the CEO of Dove Empire, the biggest company in America at the age of 22, that was two years back.
After the death of his parents when he was seven years of age, his grandfather took it a duty to raise him but old age was setting in and of course, rest is needed, which made Liam the youngest CEO in the entire country.
His workers were treated like varmints, but none of them could leave because their pay was huge. He doesn't condone any form of immorality and his prestige is his ultimate priority.
Not only that, he was a Casanova, who f****d ladies anywhere anytime but he mainly dealt with actresses, models, and other ladies of his caliber.
The sight of him would make anybody tremble, his voice could make one lose consciousness, though he is glamorous, but his morality wrecks it all.
He entered his office, his secretary handed a notepad to him and he took it in.
To his surprise, he met his grandfather sitting patiently on a sofa that was lying at the center of his office.
"i***t! You didn't tell me he was around! Are you tired of your job?" he yelled at his secretary, Susan, who flinched almost immediately
"I'm I'm I'm s-so-sorry-" his secretary, Susan apologized as she trembled at the same time.
Who wouldn't jerk after yelling? When he always roars like a lion and can decide to end her job at that moment without anybody stopping him.
"I told her not to inform you," his grandfather said calmly, siping from the cup of tea that was placed on the table.
"And you, you can take your leave" he motioned to Susan, who bowed slightly and left immediately
"What are you doing here Grandpa? I'm sure you ain't for anything good" he inquired rudely, taking his seat opposite his grandfather
"I'm here to talk about you, Liam. I've been thinking of handing over the company to you completely, what do you think about that?" He retorted
"Wow! What great news"
He beamed in happiness but his happiness was cut short by his grandfather.
"But in one circumstance will that be possible," he added.
"And what could that be?" He immediately implored, scoffing already.
"I'm not gonna hand over my company to a bachelor. You have to get wedded before I'll hand over my company to you and you have less than two months to do so" his grandfather dropped the bombshell.
Liam removed the earpod that was attached to the tip of his left ear. It seemed he didn't hear his grandfather well.
"What did you just say?" He questioned, almost in a whispering tone
"You heard me right, Liam. You have just two months to get a wife, else the company will be given to your cousin, Ryan" Joshua, his grandfather repeated those words.
In annoyance, Liam banged the table table, flipping away all the sheets of paper on the table.
His grandfather adjusted his seat, getting fed up with his nuisances
"What the heck do you mean by that? I've devoted a whole three years of my life to this company and here you are, mentioning my cousin who is living a reckless Life?" He yelled as he flared up.
His eyes were shooting fire, just like the god of thunder, and one could hear the sound of his heart that was beating faster than normal.
Joshua adjusted his tie. One could see his regret, in bringing Ryan into the matter.
He then took a deep breath and voice out.
"I don't f*****g care about what you think. I'm tired of reading about you in different articles every day, so it's better you get married in two months since you have lots of ladies at hand" he said and stood up
"Grandpa!" Liam called with his voice echoing over the company
"I'll never allow you to do that to me. Never will Ryan take over this company under my watch. Never!" He promised, folding his fist, with a vein coming out of his forehead.
"Let me be! Are you mad? Didn't you hear what I said? I need to see the god-damned CEO"
Both Liam and his grandfather heard the voice of a lady, who seemed to be in a heated argument with the security guards.
Liam didn't wanna pay attention to it but was curious to know the crazy b***h that was causing nuisance within the working environment and dared to call him a god-damned CEO.
He wanted to step out but he only took two steps when the door opened widely.
Two guards followed her and one wanted to pull her back from the back but the lady punched him, causing him to spit out blood.
Liam and his grandfather were amazed, they couldn't believe their eyes.
Laura walked inside the office and before Liam knew what was going on, a loud slap landed on his cheek, leaving the workers in awe.
"How dare you think of running away after impregnating me?" Her voice roared throughout the office, like a tigress.
