Substitute
Since that night, I realized I was captive adding that my parents agreed already for me to stay at the Palace and be with him without my consent.
"Louve, listen to us..." Mom held my hands and cared her face. "You're meant to be here. The Goddess Moon of Selene chose you..."
"But Mom—"
"Your mother is right, Louve." Dad added.
I glanced at my sister who just smiled at me.
"We already talked to Queen Raven, she said she will be the one who will teach you the rules and proper to become the Luna so you must stay here especially when your mate is here..." my mother's eyes gazed to the Alpha who is at my back.
"How about my things?" I asked, I really want to go home.
"We will bring it here early in the morning," my father replied.
"We can buy you a new set of clothes here to use, Megumi... If you need anything just tell me so I can ask my sister so she can also get it for you—"
"I don't want new stuff... I still want my own things back at home..." I reasoned back not letting Theron to finish.
"Louve, that's not the way you treat your mate... Remember, he is the Alpha," Mom remarked.
Fiona touched my shoulders. "You will be fine here, Amari... trust me. If you want I can bring your important stuff here tomorrow and also visits you from time to time so you won't be homesick. Is that okay, Alpha?"
"Definitely... you are welcome here Fuentes," Theron says in full of gratitude.
"There, you hear him, right? We have to go, Louve," Dad hugged me tightly. "Be a good girl, okay? Don't you give the Alpha a hard time... hmm?"
I just nodded, forcing back to cry as I watch them walking away from me, leaving me with the Alpha.
And that is the last time, I ever saw them.

SIX MONTHS LATER...
In the morning, as soon as I open my eyes, I stared at the familiar ceiling and roamed around the room. This is still not my home...
How many days since I got here anyway?
Until when should I keep this act?
Why do I have to force myself to because Eliana's substitute?
"Wait a minute— what's the point of me doing this? The Moon Goddess decided already so... even if she came back. Does it still means, I'm the Luna?"
"No..." a familiar voice crashes my thoughts.
Looking at the door, I saw Theron standing.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to..."
He comes near to my bed.
"If you think that you're the Luna just because the Moon Goddess chosen you, you're wrong. I will do everything just to make Eliana as my Luna..." he said surely.
"Isn't that against the mate rules?" I asked innocently.
"Yes, it is however what will the Moon Goddess will do if I don't want you as my mate?"
It hurts.
Pointing that out straight to my face, deeply hurts.
In six months, even he treated me like nothing nor was distant, cold, selfish and jerk. I still tried my best to get along with him but luck isn't on my side, he is a total stonewall.
"Y-You will do everything for her?" I tried to voice out my questions not sounding I'm hurt.
"Anything," he answered instantly. "Enough with the questions and answers, fix yourself. We have a lot of things to do..."
I smiled bitterly as he turned around and started walking away. He hadn't gotten far when I couldn't help but ask the wind...
"Who would have thought that there is still someone who could do something beyond for love. She's lucky to have you, Alpha..."
He was stunned for a moment but didn't pay any more attention to me and left.

"I'm unlucky to be your chosen Luna," those words came out from my mouth as I stared at him in disbelief.
He's the worst.
"You finally show your true colors, Megumi..."
If only thoughts could kill, he was already buried by now.
"What else do you want?! Theron, please... I really want to see them, I'm begging you..."
"I already told you that I already sent someone to pick up your family so they can visit you, Megumi and if they want to, they shouldn't have done it long time ago! I can't just let you go yourself alone," he said in a serious tone.
"What do you think of me? Won't come back like your—"
"Don't you dare say her name, Megumi." He roared in anger. "You don't have the right to mention her, we have rules remember?"
"Then f**k your rules! Theron, I let you do whatever you wanted yet until now you still hope that she will come back? And mind you, we have an agreement, I will only be here for a while and you will find your Eliana... But where is she?! Gone! If she really loves you, she will be here with you, Theron."
"You know nothing," he barked. "If you hadn't been alive, she would have been the one I chose to be my mate."
That stabs me...
Is it my fault that the Moon Goddess chose me? I didn't want to be Luna in the first place.
After a few more minutes of me being silent, he was also stunned by what he said. Maybe he felt that I was deeply hurt by what he said. I just smiled helplessly and tried to stop myself from crying.
"Don't go..."
But I have to...
"M-Megumi..."
He was about to come over to comfort me but I ran away and left first.
"Amari?" it was Rieka, his sister. "Where are you going? And why are you—"
"I'm sorry, Ri..."
I just kept walking and didn't bother to stop.
"Wait!"

The night has passed, I haven't returned to the palace yet though I'm just in the garden getting some fresh air. By watching the moon tonight, I found myself mesmerized in the dark sky...
"He's waiting for you..."
I sniffed about that thought. He was not, wolf.
"Amari, are you here?" Rieka's voice echoed near the fountain.
My eyes searched for her but I found her with her heartless brother, the Alpha Theron.
I deeply sighed before facing towards them.
"What are you..."
"Queen Raven's looking for you and asking why you didn't join us for dinner. I already talked to Theron about what happened, he has something to say..." she gently pushed her brother and gave him a look. "You better make up to your Luna, dumbass. I'll leave you two here alone, okay?"
Like the wind, she vanished in the air.
No one dare to speaks for a moment when he decided to break the silence.
"Megumi, about what happened..."
Please, don't pity me.
"I'm really sorry. I shouldn't have said—"
"No, it's fine. I should know my place," interrupting him, I force to smile at him making him froze. "Thank you for reminding me that, Alpha."
