GEORGIE FOLLOWED HER partner with her eyes until he disappeared from sight, then she turned back to Tracey James, who was slumped against the passage wall, where she had been pushed by her boyfriend during his escape. Georgie saw that Tracey was not yet over the surprise of what had happened, and wondered if she was aware of what her boyfriend had done. Her initial reaction suggested she knew something, but exactly what remained in doubt.
