Today was the day we were to start a new project. Christopher had given up trying to get my company to build for him, and I finally got the company I had sought after for so long to agree to meet with me. The owner was the CEO's son, now the CEO, since he had just recently died, and he agreed to meet me for new plans to expand his company into theaters, and he wanted mine to build one for him. Lila was sick so she stayed home, but I had gotten up extra early to get ready and impress them. This would put my company high on the ladder and I was beyond excited. I had put my hair up in an elegant bun, and I wore a tight but classy black dress with white pumps and pearls in my ears. I walked into my office building with an air of superiority and happiness, and my employees fed off of it because they seemed to be working twice as hard as usual. I neared the elevator and waited for it to hit the bottom, as I took a step in I locked eyes with a tall blonde with gorgeous hazel eyes. Damn. He was no Christopher but he sure was something to look at. I thought, but then quickly shook it out of my mind, this was all a game with Christopher, I shouldn't compare other hot men to him. He smiled at me and I nodded at him, as we both reached for the button to my level. "Are you here for a meeting?" I asked, as I was the only person besides my secretary and other assistants on that level. "Yes, actually. I'm meeting with the owner of this company about building a theater for mine, we are branching out." He explained. The elevator was slowing down and making an odd noise but I ignored it and beamed at him. "That would be me actually, I assume you're Blake Knighten?" I stuck my hand out for him to shake. "Yes, you are Rosie Marie?" He asked, but before I could answer the elevator shook violently and ground to a halt. I fell forward and Blake stuck his arms out to catch me. "Whoa, thank you. My elevators should be up to code, I don't know what's happening right now." I said. "They should get it fixed pretty quickly, we have alarms that are supposed to go off when stuff like this happens." I said calmly, even though my heart rate was accelerating and I was still in his arms. "No it's okay, I like being here." He smiled down at me and my cheeks flushed as I stood up straighter and backed away from him. "What's wrong?" He said stepping closer to me. "N-nothing." I stammered. "So we could always start the meeting here?" I joked lightly, grabbing my purse to pull out a paper with the agreement. "I don't want to talk business, actually I don't want to talk at all." He stepped closer to me and now we were chest to chest against the elevator wall. He took my arm and I dropped my purse as he pinned it above my head, lowering his lips to meet mine. My head was screaming alarms at me to stop, but I didn't. Instead I responded and took my free arm and wrapped it around his neck, pulling him closer. Neither of us felt the elevator move and when it dinged, I quickly jumped away from him and picked my purse up off the floor, running my arm across my lips to wipe the lipstick off of it. I looked up as I stepped out of the elevator only to meet fiery eyes and a very mad Christopher holding another bouquet, this time of daisies. I looked behind me at Blake who was smirking and wiping the lipstick off of his own lips with his hand. "Sup' man." He nodded at Christopher, then walked around me shooting me a wink and making his way to my office. "What. The. Fuck." Christopher spat out, slamming the daisies on the ground and grinding his jaw, his hands balling in fists. I looked around him at my secretary and she looked scared, even I was intimidated by the look of him right now. "The elevator was stalled.." I trailed off. "Was it now? I don't think when the elevator stalls it calls for you to make out with people you will be doing business with but maybe I wasn't notified of this new rule change." He snapped. "Christopher." I said, as he stalked towards the elevator, pressing the button for it to take him down. "I wanted to be nice and surprise you with flowers that wouldn't make you have an allergic reaction, because I heard today was a big day for you. But you know what? Never mind. Forget it." He growled and the elevator doors opened to reveal a short, pretty brunette trying to exit the elevator, probably the new assistant for my tech guy. Christopher looked at her then grabbed her wrist as she tried to make an exit. She shrieked but was quickly quieted as Christopher's lips found hers, and he pushed her against the same elevator wall I was just on, putting his hands above her head. Jealousy consumed me and I turned to enter the elevator with them, but the doors shut. Christopher's lips still on hers. "Fire her, whoever the f**k she is." I snapped at my secretary, walking towards my office.
