“I just wanted to give him space,” Selene answered casually, placing the unsorted items on the other side. “Although we’ve only been together recently, I know that everyone is already aware that I like Jackson, and how much I’ve been pushing myself on him.”
She paused, then spoke again, “But today, I think there should be some change. No one likes a clingy woman, you know? So I’m taking my distance.”
Although Selene’s voice sounded casual, there was something else in her tone that Raven couldn’t decipher yet. It was something darker and dangerous.
