Savior

‘Dear God They say more prayers are said in the hospital than in a church every day. I didn’t believe it up until now. They also say a written prayer is more effective than a verbal one for it is written after much thought in contrast with a verbal rambling. This is why I decided to write to you, well aware of the fact that chances of you reading it are as slim as doctor declaring the people that have died today to be alive again. So without playing marry-go-round with you, I’ll come straight to the point, send me someone. Someone who is a guy, has lots of money and for whom, no one but I exist. Before you think if I’m high on television and web series, I’ll accept on my own that I am. But what is important right now is that I’m in dire need this someone, a savior, my savior and you need to work your magic fast for I don’t have time. Since you’re God, I’m assuming you already know my situation and my urgency when it comes to this wish. So please listen to my prayers and grant my wish as soon as possible. Yours A pathetic human created by you. P.S. If the savior is handsome I’ll give you brownie points.’ The girl in the hospital clothes finished writing on the paper she’d tore from the doctor’s notepad and then pushed her wheelchair to reach the end of the corridor. Crumpling the paper in a ball she threw it outside the window exactly how the nurse had told her to. ‘What is she doing?’ One of the two nurses who were hiding behind the door nearby and watching the girl, said. ‘She was lamenting how her life had ended after everything that happened so I told her a story.’ The other nurse replied. ‘What story?’ The former asked. ‘That the window at the end of the corridor of the third floor was blessed after a priest stayed here for about five years. And that whoever writes their wishes on a paper and throws it out the window their wishes will be fulfilled.’ ‘Is it true?’ The nurse looked at her colleague who continued to stare at the girl who looked outside the window with hopeful eyes. ‘Well that only time will tell.’
