ANITA POV “I am so excited that we finally get to leave this hellhole of a house and stay with our mate, who is the love of our lives.” Ari, my wolf said with so much excitement in her voice. I can’t tell who is more excited right here; either me or her? “I am so happy I finally found him, and he isn’t displeased with the fact that I am an omega.” I was full of excitement. “He is a hundred percent better than those people who brought you into this world. I can’t wait to see the shock look on their faces when they find out that you who they thought is weak and a disgrace is the mate of the new alpha. It would be so epic.” Ari said feeling so thrilled. “They will definitely regret what they did to me. At least I am going to be free now. Free from my own parents.” I let out a sigh as I stared at my face which I had just finished putting on some makeup on. Today is such a happy day because it is my mating ceremony with my mate who I have waited for all my life. While growing up, we heard stories of how we as werewolves were destined to be with our mate who is like a soul mate to us. The moon goddess is going to select someone who is the perfect match for us as a mate and he or she would love us and protect us. I have been wanting to find mine right from the very moment I understood what a mate is. My life hasn’t been amazing and the best. Unfortunately for myself, I was born into a beta family who wanted a boy as their first child and also a strong child. I failed to tick their requirements. Not only was I a girl but I was born an omega. This was so strange because as a werewolf, you are to bare your parents genes. Only a little number of people are born differently and I am one of them. This made my parents so angry and they hated me for beings a runt who is a disgrace to them. They were only proud of my younger sister, Hannie. Unlike me, she was born with beta genes and she is beautiful. My parents spoilt her so rotten and always showered her with love and everything she asked for. On the other hand, I was the maid in my parent house for nineteenth years. I was insulted verbally, assaulted physically and disgraced. My parents would leave me at home and go out with my sister. She is the only one who is recognised as their child outside. I am sure that my pack members have all forgotten that I am actually their daughter or I exist because I am buried at home always working as a slave. Everyday was hell for me. I wanted to give up numerous times but what kept me strong was my wolf and the thought of meeting my mate. Yesterday was a roller coaster day for me. It first started with me finding out that the alpha son is back and everyone are invited for a party. I wasn’t planning on going in the first place but my parents didn’t care about that instead they gave me a long list of chores to do in order to stop me from leaving the house. I was able to finish fast because I could handle anything now. I got tired of staying in the house so I decided to take a walk around the pack but far from the alpha’s house. I know my place and I can’t dare cross my boundaries. And that was when I found him. Or rather, he found me. Jeremy Robinson. First and only son of the alpha. A graduate who is not only brilliant but he is strong and handsome. I blushed just thinking about him. I couldn’t stop thinking about him since I saw him yesterday. He is just so perfect for me. He is more than I have ever wished for. The moon goddess loves me so much and I will forever be grateful to her. “But Ari, isn’t it suspicious that we didn’t hear anything from him today yet he is announced a mating ceremony?” I asked my wolf as I searched for my most presentable shoes. “I don’t think so. I feel he wants to surprise us. Awwnnn I can’t stop imagining things. He is so amazing. Well I guess we have to wait for him to send people to come pick us up. Remember we have to act surprise so he won’t feel sad that we ruined his surprise.” she advised. “That is true. We can’t show that we already found out. I am so happy and nervous at the same time. What if the people do not like me? I am scared that they will convince him to leave me because I am an omega.” I tried to breath slowly to calm my troubled heart. “Anita for goodness sake, I keep telling you to stop worrying that brain of yours. You are only stressing yourself by overthinking. I am certain nothing is going to happen. Even if people try to talk, our mate will surely defend us and shut them up.” she used a soft voice which she always use to make feel calm. And it worked. I can’t count how many times I am grateful to Ari. She stood by me through thick and thin and not for once second has she ever regretted being with me. She has been my strength and I can’t do without her. I am glad we are celebrating together and we finally got our happy ending together. I was done getting ready and began to wait. I looked at the clock and saw it was 4:34pm. My parents and sister left very early in the morning. I have no idea where they went to and I don’t care. I just hope they are present to see me accepting my mate. I want to get the shocked look on their faces. I want to have my last laugh. It was few minutes to six. I waited and waited yet no one came to get me. I began to feel worried and anxious. “Anita I don’t think we should sit and wait. Let’s go and find out what is happening.” Ari said as she was worried also. “I was about saying the same thing too. Let’s go.” I stood up and left the house. Everywhere was so quiet. No one was outside. They must be all gathered for the mating ceremony. I walked down to where it was holding. It was in the pack hall which was big for everyone to fit in. I got there and stood outside. “Ari should I go inside? I’m a bit scared.” “Anita we have come this far. We can do this. Go in now.” she answers. I let out a loud a long breath and opened the door. Everyone went quiet and turned to me. I was about feeling embarrassed because all attention was on me when my eyes went up to the stage. I couldn’t believe my eyes at what I was seeing. It was like my eyes were playing games on me or I was just hallucinating. My legs began to move although my mind was still. The only thing I could hear was my heart beating so fast. I walked to the front and stood in front of Jeremy. “What is going on here?” I forced out although my mouth felt so heavy. “What does it seem like to you?” Hannie, my own biological sister replied instead of Jeremy. “Jeremy I am asking you a question, what is going on here?” I asked him asking again. My eyes refusing to move away from his face. I wanted to hear an answer from him and him alone. “I am sorry Anita.” he breath out. Those four words caused my heart to bleed in agony. “You are sorry?” I whispered as I raised my hand up and began to pull my hair. I hoped this is a dream and it’s not real. But the pain I was feeling from pulling my hair was enough for me to be convinced that I am not dreaming. “You are sorry!!!!!!!” I said again almost raising my voice. I let go of my hair and looked around. My parents were seated together with the alpha and luna. They didn’t look like they cared about how I am feeling right now. They rather looked like they were having fun as they watched. Everyone in this hall didn’t seem to bother how I was feeling right now. Everyone knew about this. I was the only one who was foolish to know that my own mate is having a mate ceremony with my own sister. I turned to look at Jeremy and Hannie This was the first time my eye was on her. It wasn’t hard to notice the mark on her neck. My mate also marked her. Ari howled in my head with so much pain and sorrow in her voice. I began to feel sick in my stomach. I badly wanted to cry but my tears weren’t prepared to come out. “Why?” I whispered. “Why her? You said you love me. You said you are happy that I was your mate. What happened to you promising to love me and protect me till your last breath? What was the kiss for? What was the promises for? Huh? Tell me!!” I raised my voice. “How do I put this…….. well yesterday it wasn’t me but my wolf. He was just so excited to find you and he took over. Now I can tell that what was said about you is right. You really are so foolish. How couldn’t you have noticed that you were talking to a wolf? Such a dull thing.” he said and laughed. Everyone joined him and began to laugh at me. “Look I really don’t know what the moon goddess was thinking when she paired me with you. You aren’t even my spec. Have you checked yourself in the mirror? You are a nobody. You are so weak. I can’t have an omega as my mate, it’s so embarrassing.” he mocked. “Is that the reason you went for my own sister?” I asked him with a tiny voice. “Can you really compare yourself with your sister? Have some shame. Unlike you, she is beautiful, strong, intelligent and the perfect woman to be my mate and my luna. The moment I set my set my eyes on her, I knew she was the one for me.” he smiled sweetly at Hannie who smiled back at him. My heart shattered into different pieces as each words came out of his mouth. “Jeremy please don’t do this to me. You are my only ho……” “Do you have any thing else to say, as you can see we are in the middle of something. Leave or you will be thrown out.” he cuts. I heard someone clapping causing me to turn. It was my father who was clapping as he stood up and walked to me. “Can you see for yourself that you are nothing but a disgrace to our family? No one wants to have anything to do with you. Including your own mate doesn’t want a runt like you. If I were you, I will go back to the house and never show my face in the public.” my father said. “So you will let Hannie take my mate from me?” I asked him. “She is perfect for him so why not. She deserves to be the luna and not you.” he said. I began to laugh. “I mean, I shouldn’t be surprised that you are supporting her. You have spoilt her to the point that she is now a w***e who takes someone’s mate.” My father’s eyes darken and he raised his hand and slapped me on my face. “You have right to call my daughter a w***e. You dare not insult my daughter with that mouth of yours.” he said in anger. I touched my cheek and closed my eyes when it burnt me. Then it became clear to me that no matter what happens, I seen as nothing but an omega. My parents, my sister, my mate and my pack members don’t care or even want me. So what the hell am I doing here? Something inside of me began to crawl trying to let itself out. It was my anger. I closed my ears and let out a loud scream letting it all out. All the anger. All the pain. All the frustration. How I feel. I let them explode the moment I began to scream in agony. “You all are so pathetic and cruel. Incase you aren’t aware, I didn’t make the decision to be born this way, so can you tell me why it is my fault and why I have to suffer for it?” I said angrily. “You ar…….” my father tried to speak but right now I am not ready to listen to him. It’s my turn to speak and not him. “Shut the f**k up. I am still talking.” I cut him as I glared deadly at him. “Anita you shouldn’t disrespect dad like that.” Hannie said. I turned to her and let out a smirk. I walked close to her and stood in front of her. “He is not my dad but yours. He has never been my dad so why should I care. One more important thing. I wasn’t able to prepare a gift for you but I have something special to give you.” I slapped her on her face. The force of the slap made her fall down to the ground. Everyone let out a gasp and I could hear chairs falling to the ground. Jeremy rushed to her and knelt down to check her. He looked so worried and kept comforting Hannie who started to act dramatic as she cried in his chest. As I watched him doing all that, I knew it was all over. There is no way I can be anything special to him. My dreams of having a mate who would rescue me is now shattered. There is nothing left for me here. “Anita how dare you hit my woman?” he asked looking furious. “It’s just a small gift. Besides I have one for you also. I am certain you will love it more than her’s.” I said and smiled at him. He stood up holding her in his arms. “What are you talking about?” “I, Anita Gerald reject you Jeremy Robinson as my mate. I hope you live a miserable life forever.” I felt the pain but I kept a strong face. It hurts so badly but I can’t make them enjoy seeing me in pain. Even if this is the last thing I have to do in this pack. I turned then noticed thousand of people were staring at me. With a loud voice, I shouted. “I ANITA DENOUNCE MY RIGHT AS A MEMBER OF BLUE SKY PACK.” With my head and my middle finger up high, I walked out. It is time to start a fresh life and live for just me. It will be much better than living in a pack that is after my peace of mind. Although I am now a rogue.
