“Hey Clara, is dinner ready?” I asked as I walked into the kitchen.
“Not yet, Anita. Are you very hungry? I can make something quick for you to have before the food is ready.” she answered.
“No need. I can wait. I just wanted to know the progress of the food. Where is Kinn?” I asked her because I remembered not seeing him around.
“Damien took him out. You were asleep, so they didn’t want to wake you up.” she said.
“Okay. I will be in the living room.” I said before leaving the kitchen.
I sat on the couch and picked up my phone. I noticed an unread message from Becky.
As I was typing a reply, I felt someone walking into the living room.
I raised my head and noticed it was Hannie. I brought my head back down and continued what I was doing before she walked in.
