Chapter 6: Forgotten memories

1061 Words
The time for the party slowly crawled by with Olivia and Peter fully dressed. Olivia had on a peach lace thigh gown that hugged her body tightly with gold heels on her leg and gold purse in her hand. Her rounded and well-endowed b***t was not overly emphasized but her slender waist clearly in view leaving the rest to imagination. With a nude pink color lipstick on her pink lips while her silk black hair cascaded down her shoulders, she was truly beautiful. Peter on the other hand, wore a wine blazer and black shirt with black pants that fitted his features perfectly coupled with brown leather shoe. His gray orbs suited his blonde hair that was slicked back while some strands below his shoulder were cut to give it a balanced finish. Mere looking at it, you could tell that he really took care of the blonde strands on his head. Because the drive from Benson city to Rivertown wasn't far, less than thirty minutes drive, the two decided to take their time while dressing up as they dived from one topics to another. Olivia raised her head to look at her reflection in the mirror one more time but her eyes landed on the blonde man beside her and that was when she began to have a flashback of those forgotten memories. Peter walked into her life and turned into the best thing that has ever happened to her ever since her mother disappeared from planet Earth. A man that could go to extra length just to make her happy, he became the family that she never really enjoyed and made sure that he was always there for her.  She remembered the first time that they met, It was in a hospital. She was crying because her mother was critically ill and there was no way of saving her. she watched her mother in pain each but didn't know what to do because she couldn't do anything to help, she felt helpless and useless and decided to cry her eyes out. Crutching down beside a wall with her head on her arms that was folded across her knees, Olivia cried helplessly as she felt like joining her mother when she was gone but a young boy walked up to her and patted her head in a comforting and reassuring way. This gesture from the strange boy made her to raise her head up to look up at the stranger with a furrowed brow but he gave her a warm smile in return.  Right then and that moment that the little assuring smile brightened her sad mood, she knew that she had found a friend and family in a total stranger and here they were still together as a not blood related family and friends after so many years that their mothers passed away from heart disease. Olivia doesn't know what might transpire between the father and son in the next few hours at the party because judging from James Brad Steven's attitude towards his own son, things could go right or wrong. But whatever happens, she would definitely be there for her friend. He has always done the same for her. After checking his wrist watch one more time to determine the right time to start leaving, Peter's eyes darted towards the mirror and caught the sight of someone lost in thought. He moved closer to his bestfriend  and gave her shoulder a slight squeeze as he could clearly see the distress and concern that etched on her beautiful face. She was worried over the matter between himself and his so called father but he didn't want to go into that now and so he decided to drag his precious friend back to reality by speaking; "It's time to head out honey pie"  Although it was late spring, the whether was still cold at night and so they made sure to take their warm coat along with them as they headed out of the apartment together not forgetting to lock the door. The two hopped into Peter's 2020 Mercedes-Benz E-class. You must know that even though he never gained his father's love, one thing he never lacked was money and he  made sure to spend it lavishly.        ******  Peter drove them towards their destination while Olivia turned the radio on as she searched for a station that played the type of music that they wanted to here.   "What happened between you and Betty?" Olivia decided to ask the question that has been eating her up as she wanted to know the details. Peter just shrugged his shoulders dismissively as his eyes never left the road but Olivia wasn't buying that at all, "Don't f**k with me Peter, I thought you liked her" She snapped out of curiosity. "Yeah, I thought I did but apparently, I never liked her that much and that was why she left me" Peter confessed as he looked at Olivia's expression slightly before turning back to the road. "You still have her in your heart right?" Olivia asked as she finally pieced together the problem with her bestfriend. He had problem with every girl he dated because their was someone else occupying his heart even after all this years. Peter just nodded his head at his friends question before speaking, "Remember when I told you that we would be meeting our potential partners?" It was Olivia's turn to nod her head in response as Peter continued, "She would be there in the party and the person that I want to introduce you to, would also be there as well. So I hope we get blessed tonight regardless of any obstacles"  Olivia couldn't help but laugh heartily at Peter's choice of words with her head thrown backwards while Peter smiled satisfactorily. Olivia finally stopped searching as 'Undo' by Sanna Nielsen started playing while the two sang alone the verses. They sang to different songs, from rap to rock to blues until the building of TremaceCue Hotel where the party is being held came into view.  Peter drove into the parking lot and killed the engine of the car. The two gave each other a nod before getting out of the car as worriedness etched on their faces but they choose to ignore it. Peter stretched out his hand to Olivia which she gladly took as they made their way towards the entrance of the building with their shoulders held high.
