His forest green eyes stared at her baby blue ones; yet she could feel it staring deep into her soul, as if searching for an answer to an unknown question which chilled her heart to stillness. A visible smirk appeared on his thin lips, indicating that he clearly caught the little fidgeting action from Olivia. But he choose to ignore her with a snort and made his way towards the door instead, wondering why she doesn't remember anything the next day, after drinking the previous day. They were undeniably together yesterday night or rather on the night of her each failed dates.  Olivia on the hand, felt lost and confused at the same time since she couldn't figure out the bizarre behavior from her Boss. "She didn't commit any offense again or did she?" She roamed her head, scratching for anything that could give away the answer but found none. She sighed in resignation knowing that only time could give her the answer and so she swallowed her curiosity and walked closely behind Boss. While the meeting was going on inside, she walked back to her desk. Looking for ways to distract herself from thinking things too much, she decided to give her best friend a call. It's been a while, since they spoke with each other last and if anyone could help ease her stress that moment, Peter was the best candidate with his contagious always happy mood. The phone rang once before there was a response from the other end. "Hello, honey pie, how are you doing today?" Came the singing voice from peter, you could tell from his voice that he was a man that kept his problems at bay clothing himself with the armor of happiness. And as expected, he never fails to brighten her mood with his cheerful character; only his chirping voice alone like a bird's was enough for her.  "I'm fine, Peter" she responded happily or at least trying to make her voice less gloomy before adding; "And you?". "Okay, here is the deal honey pie, you have to take your time; breathe in and out before spilling everything to me because as far as I'm concerned, someone is not happy here". Olivia swallowed hard hearing this words from Peter and she knew he wasn't joking when he said that. He never switches to a serious mode while talking to her unless he detected the hidden sadness from her voice. But she shut up and did as she was instructed to.  "So what's the problem, my dear?" Peter asked after noticing that she has completed the task. "It's nothing, Peter, I just Miss you so much" Olivia tried to deny. "No, no, no..... that's not the answer to my question and you never Miss me until you Need my comfort. So spill it while I'm being merciful". Peter persisted. "Come on, Peter, don't make me look like a horrible person; you are my best friend for goodness sake". Olivia countered. "Okay, objection granted, best friend. So what's up..... like what's troubling your Innocent heart?" Peter insisted, earning him a heartfelt laughter from Olivia over the phone which gladdened his heart and in turn laughed too. Hearing his best friend laugh so happily made Peter's heart to rejoice, so he decided to let things remain that way till when they meet and which won't be long til that happens.  "Olivia?" He called. "Yes?" She replied curiously "Keep feeling the way you're feeling right now. The laughter that came out directly from your heart to your mouth and brightened every sad part of your body, let it remain that way. I will come to see you next week during your off from work, we can talk about it then". "Okay" she obeyed, nodding her head as if Peter could see her. "And one more thing....." Peter trailed off. "What?" She asked unsure of what he wanted say. "It's a command and must be kept with immediate effect" Peter completed. "Thanks, Peter, it's already working and you are the best". Olivia appreciated sincerely. "Better, now go do your work, honey pie and bye." Peter said before ending the call after hearing response from Olivia. Olivia stared at her phone excitedly after the call dropped. "Yes, it worked. It always does" she sang within her heart as she threw every worries through the window and resumed her duties happily. No form of failed date is allowed to break her. Days passed, without Mr. CEO detecting any sadness from his precious secretary. It's like every unhappiness was wiped off from her system, in turn filled her with over hyped joy and happiness. " What's going on with her?" Normally, it takes her one week to get over one failed date, what happened with this case? Or is she now immune to heartbreaks? Nelson couldn't help but ponder over these facts and possibilities in his head. As the biggest question still remains; why does it bother him so much? Obviously, the young lady's relationship status doesn't concern him at all but here he was worrying himself over nothing. He watched her do her daily activities and wondered if something, somewhere was pumping the gleeful side of her to the fullest.  "Nel, take it easy and don't kill yourself with drinks" Gabriel warned the young man that he called his best friend who was at that moment stuffing himself with so much alcohol like it was a delicious meal prepared by a skilled chef.  "You don't have to stop me, I know what I'm doing". Nelson defended.  "No you don't, killing yourself with drinks doesn't solve anything at all" Gabriel insisted. How could he honor the title of 'best friend' if he relaxed and watch the so called best fiend destroy himself with alcohol. Granted, Nelson's tolerance for alcohol was quite respectable but still.....he couldn't risk it. "Oh, you think I'm crazy too right?" Nelson blurted out all of a sudden, surprising Gabriel. "What?" Gabriel asked confusedly. "Nel, calm down okay. I don't think of you that way and never would I" Gabriel assured his best friend.  "Then why?" Nelson asked as he looked away from the glass of whiskey in his hand to stare at his friend in the eyes.  "Why what?" Gabriel became even more confused.
