02.28 | He Who Sleeps, Dreams

2419 Words

Suspension of Disbelief – it is a plot device that complements very well with Deux Ex Machina. It’s an idea of ignoring logic and simply agreeing to whatever falsehood is presented. Like, for example, how it is impossible for a fire to suddenly come out of Noel. Humans cannot create fire in their bodies unless they have something that induces fire. Noel’s sudden pyrokinetic abilities made it look like he was from a fantasy movie.   It is impossible, yet nobody questions it. In order for the item to completely work, nobody should question its existence. As to why the people are believing it, it’s because the fierce fire that could gobble up even the hardest rock is impossible to ignore. Just by staying around it is enough to slightly burn the skin, making everyone to take a step back.
