Killian's POV
The room erupted around me but I was frozen.
All I could hear was Alan's voice. "Ember has been kidnapped."
At first, I couldn't interpret his words despite knowing the meaning, an aftermath of astonishment, but it sank in fully a minute later.
"Kidnapped?" Sam repeated, as though he too had a problem comprehending what the word meant.
"By who?"
Alan's face hardened. "The Geeks."
Every muscle in my body stiffened.
"The Geeks?" Cole repeated in surprise. "Are you sure?"
"Den was there."
That was all I needed to hear to grab Alan tighter, "Did Mira say that?"
His revelation hit hard but hearing that Den was also there hit even harder, like a tornado rooting a house from its foundation.
Because I knew...I knew exactly what Den's intentions were and whatever the Geek
