Felicia knocks on the door and Edith let go of her to open it then followed her downstairs to explain things they are curious about to them and also discuss with his family giving Velma the time to figure things out.

Now that her other plans for today is already canceled, Velma locked the door and collapsed in one of the couch in the room.

She wondered what on earth is going on for Nelson and Edith to return to the house at the same time and think back hard to see if there is anything she missed.

Before she lost her life in the hands of her husband, she remembers Nelson was always away and even Edith only returned a few times to either frustrate her life or forceful have his way with her.

She stood up from the couch not letting that get to her and concluded on first exposing Betty’s scheme and make her regret her actions in the past also recovering her lost properties starting with the café.

“Ma’am, everyone is asking you to come to the dinning for breakfast” one of the maids called at her door and Velma opened the door.

She arrived at the table and sees Nelson sitting at the edge realizing that she wasn’t dreaming about seeing him just now.

“You really think of yourself as a princess, why everyone needs to wait for you before we eat” Doris attacked as she took a seat.

"Let her be, now that my son is back I am so happy" Felicia said laughing and starts to pack the whole food in front of Edith.

"I heard Miss Velma wasn't feeling too well, what happened?" Nelson questioned and everywhere became silent again including Felicia who dropped her spoon shaken to have her crime exposed

"Cousin, you shouldn't concern yourself too much with someone like her" Doris answered and reached out to pick some peas.

"Shut your mouth if you don't have an answer" Nelson fired at her and she dropped the peas in her hand in fear

Nelson has always been a cold and terrifying person, even his grandfather the patriarch of the family always avoids getting him angry.

The only encounter Velma has with him was so brief yet grave that he asked her never to appear in front of him again.

It is said that he can cause anyone to disappear in the country and such a person would never be spoken of again, Velma wondered how on earth Edith and his family has offended him.

"Why don't we eat first? The food will get cold" Maddox interfered but Nelson wasn't done yet.

"I asked a simple question, why is everyone in a hurry to avoid it?" He asked glaring from sides to sides and Velma decided to speak up.

"Mr. Nelson, I was just down with cold" she answered him and his gaze turned soft instantly, he turned to her and nod gently without a word for a few seconds before focusing on his meal and everyone sighed relieved then continued to eat.

Velma pick at her food not really interested in it, now that Nelson mentioned it she finds her illness rather strange and becomes suspicious about it.

Seems like there were a lot of times she almost died and fall victim into the hands of the bad people without realizing it in her past.

She remembered clearly that she was doing great that day and there was no reason for her to fall ill, not to say that her sudden sickness started after Edith also got into an accident.

Velma pondered on whether it is just a coincidence or there is something more and drinks some water not able to digest more food.

"I will make a move first" she informs them but Edith stopped her.

"Where are you off to?" He asked holding on to her arms

Velma stares down at him wondering if he lost his memories while he was unconscious and quickly push his hand away.

"I need to see my mother" she told him and head to her room to pick her bag then hurried out of the house but bumped into Nelson standing by his car with a cigarette in his hands.

"Brother-in-law" she greets a little afraid of him and slowly walks away.

"Come here, I will give you a ride" he said and Velma look on silently shaken by his words, she turned slowly not daring to look him straight in the eyes and lowly decline.

"That won't be necessary brother-in-law" she said

"It was an order not an offer" he told her authoritatively

"Yes brother-in-law" she complied and got into the car without turning to look at him.

"Boss, where to?" The butler, Khalid asked and Nelson turned to Velma

"Huh?"

"Where are you off to?" He asked

He doesn't even know where my direction is and he offered to take me, what is he planning to do...

"The north pole villa" she answered forcing a smile and continued to look down.

The driver start the car and head towards her parents house, Velma relaxed a little and felt awkward by the silence in the car, she raise her head to gaze at Nelson and noticed that he is deep in thought.

She turned her face away quickly before he sees her and get angry or throw her out of the car, actually she would want that.

"Brother-in-law" Velma called looking for a way to upset him so he can drop her off.

"Call me brother-in-law again and I will throw you out through the window" he hallowed at her and Velma swallowed up her remaining words not daring to upset him further. She just got a new life and it will be stupid to throw it away for something little.

"How should I address you then?" She queried hoping she doesn't get thrown out for questioning him.

"Nelson"

"Huh"?

"Call me Nelson" he repeated and Velma swallowed a huge lump down her throat.

She hides her face and rubs her ears hardly to be sure she heard him right, did he just ask her to refer to him by his first name? Even her father-in-law calls his name with respect.

How dare she call his name, isn't he trying to kill her? Could it be that she has offended him in the past before Betty's scheme and she is unaware of it?

"Mr. Turner, you must be joking how come I do that?" Velma said trying to lighten up the situation

"I am not the type to make jokes" he told her sternly and turned to her suddenly causing her to shudder by his gaze

"Find other titles to call me if you don't want to use Nelson, Turner is also fine" he said and Velma notice the softness at which he used to speak to her.

Is something wrong with him too just like Edith?

"I prefer to call you Mr. Turner, one must not disrespect their elders" Velma replied skillfully.

"Why can’t you? You already disrespect me when you came into my bed" he said and Velma is shocked by his bluntness.

"What"??

She only accidentally entered his room the night Edith tried to force himself on her and slept off on his bed without realizing it, if he learned that she will be drugged to sleep with him later then he might order that she is gotten rid of.

She turned away speechless and rolled down the window to breath, she heard him smirk behind her and exhale slowly unable to take his strange attitude anymore.

Nelson dropped Velma off and head to the hospital where his grandfather is getting treated and alight from the car then proceed inside the room.

The old man closed his eyes when he noticed someone comes in pretending to be sleeping but Nelson already caught his act and sat down quietly beside his bed.

"Do you want me to leave?" He said and placed the flowers in his hand on the desk beside him

"You cold fish, are you not concerned about your grandfather at all? What if I had passed away when you refuse to visit?" The old man yapped at him and pick up the flower he bought.

"You think you can bribe me with an ordinary flower? What a joke" he sneered and throws it to the ground.

Khalid step forward immediately and clean up the mess then went ahead to get it replaced.

"If you bring another one I am going to continue smashing it" the old man said but Nelson isn't moved.

"Then you can continue to smash them until you are satisfied, I will order for a thousand more" he replied.

"I see you don't care about me now that you have taken over the company, you even chase out all the old fellows that worked with me including your uncle" the old man scoffed referring to Maddox.

"He is not my family, there is no need to spare him" Nelson said and stood up to get him some water.

"You shouldn't bother yourself with the company now, have a good rest and recover quickly" he said.

"Are you wishing me death so I won’t nag you anymore? You sly child" his grandfather said hitting the bed.

Nelson ignored his words and stood up to get him some water which he handed to him but the old man refused to take it and turned his face towards the other side

“Do you want me to feed you?” Nelson asked in a calm voice and actually moved closer to do so

"What do you think you are doing? It is rare to see act so kind" the old man questioned taken aback

"You won't be dying anytime soon, at least not now" Nelson assured him and he took the water without another word.

Khalid returned with another set of flowers and arranges them neatly then retreat.

"I should return back to work now, I will have Jerry stay here with you" Nelson said and stood up to leave.

"By the way, I moved back into the old house where the Maddox family stays. I will be staying there for long this time" he informed him and exits the room then head to the park to drive himself to work.
