Mathieu opened the door for Nelson and together they leave the environment and head back to the company, Mathieu stretch a pill to him which he took without a word.

"It seems the spy is from Mr. Edith" Mathieu informs him and Nelson nodded knowingly

"Pay him double and have him report back to Edith" he said and Mathieu nodded in understanding

"Do you have something to say?" Nelson asked noticing his curious look

"Have you really seen Mrs. Velma's work? I don't remember ever submitting a sample to you" he queried.

Even though he knows his Boss may harbor unspoken feelings for Velma, he is still not the type to let his emotional feelings control his professional judgment. There is no way he will try to risk huge amounts of fund for something so trivial.

"I have seen them a long time ago" Nelson answered him.

"Yes boss" he said

"Have someone watch over Mrs. Alec, report to me if there is any problem and do it discreetly" Nelson added and he immediately gets to work.

Nelson’s face relax for a second as he let out a chuckle but it drawn back to his usual cold demeanor and he pick up his tablet, he would have loved to do as he pleased and ask her to get a divorce but Velma might not like that.

He wanted her to become less afraid of him but seems like things are better this way, at least he can be able to approach her without getting rejected.

Velma step down from her office after speaking with Mathieu concerning the new subsidiary of VA and head down to leave for the day but find Betty arguing with Sue and one of the waitress.

"Sister, you are here. You have to seek justice for me" Betty said spotting her and rushed over to drag her to the scene.

“Can you imagine what this foolish subordinate of yours just said to me, I told her I am your sister but she still insisted on me paying her before they could serve my friends and I?” Betty complained bitterly, angry to have been embarrassed in front of her friends who regard her so high

Understanding what the situation is, Velma still decides to ask Sue for her own side of the story and turned to her to inquiry what happened.

"She has been bringing her friends over to eat and drink here for so long without paying and we overlooked that because she is family”

“I asked them to pay for the ones they owe before serving them another drink” Sue explained but Betty flared up again

“What do you mean I don’t pay? I am Velma’s sister, why do I have to pay when my sister owns the place” she yelled at her.

Velma looked over at her friends standing at a distance also pissed at the situation; they have been Betty’s underlings since high school and still continued to follow after her even after their graduation from college.

“Sister, are you not going to say something? I want all of them that disrespect me today fired” she shouts and her friends grin happily.

“Who are you to fire my staffs?” Velma asked causing them all to pipe down

“If you bring your friends over to drink at my cafe then you should be ready to pay for it don’t you think?” Velma continued and Betty’s shoulders dropped.

“Sister, what are you saying?” she questioned mortified and move closer to Velma and held her hand

“You are the one that said I could come here to have breakfast” Betty whispered, her high voice suddenly became humble

“Is that why you bring your friends everyday and take orders as much as you like, if you want to treat your friend then you should be ready to pay. Why should my business suffer a loss because of that” Velma respond and move her hand away.

“Sue, how much is she owing?” she asked and Sue provided the bill.

Velma stare at the amount shocked by how much their loss is because of her, no one in their right sense will order something of this worth every day except they want the business to be ruined.

“My sister works as the secretary for my husband, I am sure he is paying her a lot of money so she has enough to cover the bill. Make sure you get the money from her” Velma said and turned to Betty.

“After today, I want you to stop coming here. We don’t take credit” she added and walk away not minding the humiliated look on Betty’s face and went away in her car

Her friends hang their head in shame and look away, they have been feed with lies by Betty that they believe she has a share in the cafe and even bring their friends over to dine while putting the bill on her tab.

Mortified, Betty brings out her card reluctantly and soon received a debit alert on her phone. She stares at the zero balance flashing in her eyes and thrust her long finger deep into her flesh cursing Velma under her breath.

She already promised to take her friends to the spa after this and not only is she left without money but also embarrassed in front of a lot of people.

“Here is your receipt” Sue said handing the long paper to her but Betty throws it to the floor and storm off leaving her friends behind…

…Velma arrived home and head straight to her room to avoid running into Doris or Felicia, the two has been irritated since the day Edith forced Doris to leave the studio and always try to create issues with her.

She took off her clothes and changed back into a simple big sized shirt become going downstairs to get something to eat when she heard a groaning sound from Edith's room.

Out of curiosity she move closer and sees a doctor with him and Simon, he seemed to be in a lot of pain and cried out.

Velma stood at the entrance for a minute wondering what his new illness is about; could it be that he is still not well from the accident?

She turned around to go away without involving herself but Simon opened the door at that moment and spots her.

"Ma'am" he called and invite her in, Velma reluctantly followed him inside

The groaning from Edith stopped immediately he heard her name and the doctor also step out of the room.

"Since your wife is here now then I can be assured that someone will take care of you at home" the doctor said and bow in greetings to her

"Hmm" Velma answered back a little embarrassed to be caught

"I will take my leave now and return tomorrow to see if there is any change" the doctor said and takes his leave

"I also have to go back to the office; I will come back in the evening to help you with..."

"Velma will take care of it" Edith cut in eager to send him away

"Oh, then I will bring you the..."

"Don't come back" Edith told him and Simon bow his head before exiting the house leaving them alone.

Velma move closer seeing the stitches on his chest and took a seat beside him, she stretch forward her hand to touch but stops and turn her face away.

"Why did you leave the hospital when you are not well enough to do so" she questioned.

His accident was a very fatal one and being able to wake up in such a short period of time was a miracle.

Seeing that he is still in pain despite being out of coma make Velma soften a little.

"I want to see your face again" Edith said and attempt to sit up but finds it difficult, Velma stood up to help him using the pillows to support his head and sat down again

"Where is mother and Doris?" She queried but he shrugged without an answer.

"I should go, I have some work to take care of" Velma stood up not sure she wants to be in the same room with him even though he is weak now but he held her back hurting himself

"There is no one to take care of me" he said playing the pity card

"Your se..I will get one of the maids to come up" Velma paused wanting to mention Betty but decided against that

"How can you let another woman take care of your husband? He said and Velma turned to him confused

"You should take care of me" he added and Velma wondered why he has suddenly become cheeky using words that she has never heard from him since they got married.

"Let go of me" Velma said and sat down again to stay with him, after all he is weak now and there is no way he would do anything to her

She thought and nursed him all night before retiring to bed at midnight and wake up late the next morning to a message from Betty.

"Sister, I am sorry about yesterday. I really didn't intend to do that I just thought it was okay since you allowed it. I will like us to have our birthday party together as a way of apology if that's okay by you"

Velma read the message and couldn't help but laugh out, she can't believe that her arrogant sister will stoop low to apologize to her and even suggest a birthday party.

In her past life, the party Betty organized was for her own birthday since Velma’s is two days away. Not only did the party ruin her but it damaged her reputation forever.

Because of what happened at the party, Velma was forced to give up everything and only hide inside the house while enduring all the insults from them.

At that time, Velma is sure that the man Betty arranged to ruin her reputation is a different man because there is no way she will dare to offend Nelson but the mystery behind the reason why Nelson ended up in the room with her instead is still not clear

Thankfully, Nelson is away for business and won’t be back for another one week

Velma took her phone and responded with okay before dropping the phone and goes to Edith's room to check up on him.

Based on what happened before she died she is already aware that Doris is responsible for his condition but decide to keep her mouth shut, it is the two siblings problem and none of her concern.

Ready to serve Betty back in her own coin this time, she head out to get a dress for the party before going to the studio that morning.
