Ads are a good way to reach readers, but can be pretty expensive. Many times authors run ads and don’t really know if they’re reaching the right readers. Spending $300+ on ad space may seem excessive for a first-time author, but you can find affordable ads if you know where to look. One thing to keep in mind when researching places online to buy ad space from is pay per click versus pay per view. Pay per click means that you only get charged for the ad when someone clicks on your link, and this is much more preferable than pay per view, which means you get charged every time your ad is viewed by someone else. An actual click to a page where readers can buy a copy of your book is more likely to result in sales, and your ad will soon pay for itself. Sites like f*******: and Goodreads allow
