Many new writers are concerned that a publisher might steal their stories and not pay for them. I won’t say this doesn’t happen, but reputable publishers don’t do this. If you’re concerned about someone stealing your story prior to publication, be sure to do your research on the publisher before you send in your submission. If other authors have had issues with the publisher, then you’ll find that information online in blogs and forums, and you’ll know to stay away from such a shady company.
