EDIN “What’s wrong?” I ask, running to her and placing a hand on her shoulder. When she looks up at me, her face is ten times paler than it was. I look down to where her hand clutches her side and I see that her fingers are stained with a dark fluid. “s**t! You are bleeding.” “I am fine.” She says stubbornly. I grab her hand and guide Her Royal Unwillingness to the rock on which I was sitting and lower her down. “You are most certainly not fine.” I say. “Let me have a look.” She continues to glare at me and I sigh in exasperation. “Look, you are going to have to trust me sometime and it wouldn’t hurt to start from today. If you don’t trust anything about me, trust that I don’t want you to bleed to death because of your stubbornness. I need to have a look at your injury.” I say.
