05 / New Student

2825 Words
I have never seen such chaotic conditions in school classrooms in my entire life. Most of the tenth-C students discussed it with their friends, there were some who clapped and whistled in turns, until some shouted that "The 10-C class would be the greatest class of all" because the turn happened this morning. This chaotic atmosphere was caused by a girl standing in front of the class accompanied by a young teacher who couldn't help but smile awkwardly at the condition of the class at that time. "Hey, shut up! Let the tenth-C star introduce herself first," said one of the male disciples in a loud voice, and a few seconds later the commotion was muted. "Hi! Maybe you've seen me in the media. My name is Vanilla Irish Paella. Starting today, I will be a new student," said a new student with a cheerful voice. Vanilla Irish Paella had long wavy blonde hair, an oval face and wore light make-up on her eyes and lips. I don't think her face looks naturally beautiful, but of course, it's not the face that is the number one attraction of a Vanilla Irish Paella, but her body. Whether intentionally or not, Vanilla seemed to show off her hourglass-shaped body with her tight clothes. Even the shirt and blazer she was wearing was tight enough that most of the boys couldn't stop noticing her sizable breasts. Vanilla Irish Paella, better known by her stage name VIP, is a model and adult film artist who is quite popular among young people. Some of the films she starred in could not even be watched publicly, so her presence this time was bound to be controversial. Almost all of the tenth-C boys were getting too excited to the point of being out of control because maybe they were correlating reality with their imagination. Meanwhile, female students are busy gossiping and feel uncomfortable with the attitude of the opposite s*x. "There's probably no date of birth anywhere. But I'm pretty sure she's at least three years older than us," I told Lynx after stopping the search for Vanilla on my phone. "Maybe," Lynx replied curtly. Lynx then leaned back in the chair and looked at Vanilla with slightly narrowed eyes. "Since we're the same age, just call me Vi. And may I make a request, Teacher?" said Vanilla, turning to the side and immediately got permission from the teacher. "I'd like to take a seat next to my future husband, Lynx Olivine." No need to wait a few seconds, all the students in class 10-C were again chaotic except for me and Lynx. I can only sigh loudly because I already know that starting this morning there will be many unexpected events today. Lynx still remained motionless and expressionless even though at this time many students were asking him unreasonable things. But I could tell there was a movement in his face that indicated he was being disturbed. Vanilla walks over to my seat and Lynx looks like a model showing a firm, authoritative stride. She had a big smile on her face as she took turns looking at Lynx and me. Her smile was even wider when I stood up to match our height. "We meet again. What a coincidence." Vanilla initiated conversation with me without stopping her broad smile . From the crowd, I could still hear my name being called by the other students. I don't know what they were talking about. "You have a strange hobby. You always want to take other people's seats," I said with a cynical smile as I took my sling bag to get up from my seat. Twice. Today my seat has been taken by someone who could easily enter into my friendly relationship with Lynx. The first incident was this morning. More precisely, when I closed my house doors and saw Vanilla get out of the Lynx car with confidence. Of course, that's when Vanilla introduced herself as Lynx's future wife and she casually took the seat between Lynx and me. As if Vanilla wanted to hint that their relationship was very close. Even without being told by Lynx, I already knew that Vanilla was the person Lynx's father had appointed to keep an eye on Lynx. Even though I already knew the purpose of Vanilla's appearance, there were still many questions running through my head. So, on the way to school, I listen to music through a headset to ignore Vanilla, who wonders endlessly and to get rid of my thoughts, which are just as noisy as the person next to my seat at the time. Until I got to class, my mind had not stopped looking for answers to the incident in front of my house. Unable to bear silence, I busied myself by searching the internet for information about Vanilla. I hope to find a common thread between Reinhard Olivine and all the news relating to adult artists that was full of criticism from netizens. But nothing. Until now, I have not received any significant information as material for my observations. But when I looked directly at Vanilla for a few seconds, my intuition told me that this girl wasn't an ordinary girl who had just been saying nonsense. Behind Vanilla's smile that could seduce many men, I could catch a piercing look in her eyes as if I had been warned to be more careful in dealing with her. "Hans, you won't be responsible when the teacher asks Lynx something, right? Let me sit here." After walking past Vanilla, I was talking to Hans, who had a seat right in front of Lynx right now. Hans nodded nervously, then volunteered his seat for me. I took out my book and pen. After thinking about such dizzying things, I realized a trivial thing that suddenly appeared while holding one of the pens arranged in a rectangular tin. For almost ten years, I always looked to the left to just make sure of the condition of the Lynx. From now on, I have to refrain from turning around too often to reassure Lynx's condition because Vanilla will be watching my movements. An uncomfortable feeling suddenly enveloped me. I tried to rationalize the symptoms as the result of a sudden change in habit. After all, I'm really getting used to sitting next to Lynx this whole time. Changing the position of our seats is the same as changing the way you comb your hair, which has been done every day since childhood. Discomfort is normal. I stared briefly at the black pen that was wedged between my index finger and right thumb. Without turning around and turning a little to the side, I crossed my right hand behind my left shoulder, then stowed the pen in the left corner of the Lynx desk. After that, I heard the smooth sound of the pen and the wooden table scraping as a sign that Lynx had taken it. The usually quiet left corner seat has now become quite crowded with Vanilla's presence. In between school subject changes, the students sitting in front and to the right of Vanilla tried to chat and ask a lot of questions. One of the students even linked Vanilla's arrival to rumors of my and Lynx's relationship. "Lynx and Rui were like an inseparable pair all along. It turns out that only a woman like you can make Lynx melt." Those innocent words from one person resulted in a moment of silence. Maybe the one who threw those words just wanted to make the conversation more colorful. But he was not aware of the condition of his interlocutor. "What do you mean... a girl like me?" Vanilla asked in a rising voice at the end of her sentence. "Ah... I mean..." The voice of the student who threw out the random words sounded panicked. Out of curiosity, I turned around and saw about three people standing on the right side of the Vanilla table and at this time the male student who was standing was being scolded by the female student who was also standing. "Hahahaha..." Vanilla laughed out loud while patting the arm of the boy who was panicking. "You mean I'm too famous to ignore, right? You're really good at praising," Vanilla's words invited laughter from the surrounding students. In that noisy condition, Vanilla suddenly looked at me and smiled broadly as she noticed being observed by me. I shook my head then continued my pending notes and regretted trying to find info from the scene just now. So I choose to use my headphones to listen to music at every change of subjects. Listening to question after question answered with pleasantries by Vanilla was not a pleasant thing. Lunch time rang. In fact, I was too lazy to get up from my seat because of the thought that my lunch would now attract a lot of attention. On the other hand, I could hear that Vanilla refused to be invited to eat with the other students and chose to eat with Lynx instead. "I'm going to eat with my future husband," Vanilla said in a spoiled voice. I turned around with a heavy heart because it was already at the point where I was tired of ignoring Vanilla's words that intentionally irritated me. And sure enough, after I turned around, Vanilla took Lynx's hand while smiling sweetly at me. I snorted in disbelief at what was happening right now. "Hey. Lynx isn't your dad, you're making him uncomfortable," I said as I watched Lynx try to free Vanilla's hand. "Of course not. He's my future husband," said Vanilla, sticking her tongue out at me. "Huh. How childish. How important is it for you to tell everyone that he's your future husband? Only people who don't believe in themselves repeat what they say over and over," I said with one lip rising. "Woaaa. You don't know, there are a lot of things that need to be published in order not to be misunderstood. In the entertainment world, things like this are very common. I'm just making people understand my condition and Lynx so that people don't have to do things they shouldn't ," replied Vanilla in a voice that had the same rhythm as her finger movements. "Of course..." Before I could finish, Lynx covered my mouth with his left hand. Lynx and I looked at each other and Lynx looked too lazy to wait for a fight between Vanilla and me. "To the cafeteria," Lynx said simply. Just a few steps out of class tenth-C, Vanilla threw up again by separating me and Lynx, who were walking side by side. Vanilla barged in between me and Lynx so that right now me, Lynx and Vanilla were walking, the three of us side by side. All the way from class tenth-C to the cafeteria, almost everyone near the three of us was looking in the same direction. Vanilla. Glaring eyes, blatant whispers, and mischievous whistling trying to seduce. For some reason, I was the one who feels uncomfortable right now, even though Vanilla looks normal and seems to enjoy the response from the Johnson High School students. Even when queuing for food, not a few students realized and then observed Vanilla from head to toe. I don't know what Lynx's expression is right now, because he's in the front row of the three of us, but he seems very indifferent. Even Lynx pulled out his own tray without noticing Vanilla, who was still trying to put the plate already filled with food on Lynx's tray. I pulled the plate Vanilla was holding, then placed it on my tray. Vanilla looked at me with her big eyes and long eyelashes that probably came from fake eyelashes. Seeing her face, which sometimes looks innocent, I feel a little sorry. I know she's trying to make small talk not because of her character like that. Although several seconds later, I regretted a little for having pity for her. I made a facepalm to the girl in front of me because I saw Vanilla's face turned back into that annoying devil's face. "Don't worry, I'm not going to hitch a ride with you," said Vanilla, sticking her tongue out, then trying to get past me to grab a tray in the few queues before us. "You'll ruin the line if you pick up another tray," I said that while holding Vanilla's right shoulder with my hand. Vanilla chuckled but followed my advice to stay in line. After being forced to pay for the Vanilla's meal, which was much more expensive than what I took, I lifted the tray containing the three hundred grams sirloin steak and beef bowl menu. I don't understand how a body as thin as Vanilla can be filled with a three hundred grams steak. Even now, she was at a beverage vendor and she said she wanted to buy an oreo frappucino. After buying a drink from the vending machine, I walked over to where Lynx was and sat on the sofa opposite his seat. I caught a glimpse of Lynx staring at an unnatural portion of a jumbo-sized steak sitting in the center of the table. "Does he have the eating disorder bulimia?" I muttered, still in disbelief at the jumbo steak in front of my eyes. I lifted the two plates that were on my tray, then put them on the table. The two trays that were not in use I immediately pushed aside the empty end of the table. "Rui...don't be so nice to her," said Lynx, looking at me expressionlessly. I was silent for a moment and tried to digest what Lynx said. Eh... wait a minute, why am I the one who has been suggested not being good? Why does it seem like Vanilla's arrival has something to do with me? Before I could ask what Lynx meant, Vanilla appeared with a long glass of white drink with crumbled black biscuits floating in the thick fluid. My doubts became greater than before about Vanilla and whether she could really finish all of her meal or not. "Am I the only one who is attracted by the banner of the drink holder? From far away I can already feel an attractive aura from there," said Vanilla, smiling through gritted teeth. Vanilla's smile didn't last long because Lynx didn't allow Vanilla to sit next to her when she approached Lynx' seat. Vanilla's eyes were still on the empty seat next to Lynx and she was trying to find a way to sit there. It occurred to me that she might crawl under the table to find where she wanted to be. But Lynx put the tray next to his seat, signaling a blatant refusal. At that time, I didn't think that Vanilla would change her strategy so drastically. Suddenly, the girl looked at me with pursed lips and twinkling eyes. With a puppy face, Vanilla pointed at my seat, indicating that I should shift and give her that place. I look at Lynx and Lynx ignores my gaze. I wanted to protest to Lynx why he didn't tell me earlier this morning so I wouldn't be so nice to Vanilla. Why didn't Lynx tell me that Vanilla was sneaky enough to take advantage of my kindness? And unfortunately, after I got annoyed with Lynx's attitude, I found out that Lynx was sneaky enough too to transfer some of his suffering from Vanilla's annoyance to me. With a heavy heart, I shifted my seat so Vanilla could get a seat. "I don't know you are so kind," Vanilla said as she hugged me as she sat down. "Hey, stop it. Seriously, this is why the entertainment world can generate so much gossip. You guys don't know what consistency is," I said, trying to get Vanilla's hand off my neck. "Because we're almost the same height, I'd rather hug you than Lynx. We're friends from now on," said Vanilla, spoiled, without paying attention to my words. "I'm not going to be friends with someone who hugs like this." I finally managed to let go of Vanilla's hand with a little force. With her enormous energy, instead of stopping to tease me, Vanilla did something that was completely beyond my mind. "Then this kiss will be a sign of our friendship, okay?" Vanilla said after landing her lips on my right cheek. I was still motionless with my mouth slightly open and I unconsciously held my breath for a few seconds at that time. Once I was able to move my facial muscles back, I couldn't help but glare at Lynx, who calmly smiled at me and re-ate his steak. Meanwhile, Vanilla responded to everyone who looked at our table with a relaxed smile and humming joy. I took a deep breath and exhaled loudly from my mouth. Today's incident has really shaken my school life.
