The Bond That Changed Our Fate

On a windy night, the weather was cold, and the clouds were thick , just like they were begging to rain. It was the night of the werewolves' gathering. They were all in the building talking about the peace of humans. “It’s really been noisy for a couple of days now; the vampires wouldn’t let the humans rest. I keep hearing about so many deaths,”Raven, the second in command in the pack,said. The meeting continued, and everyone brought up their different opinions on how to address the issues without being at war with the vampires. They ended the meeting without any solid plans. THE VAMPIRE’S COURT Lucian, the head of the court, came in fuming so hard that he was barely holding himself from screaming so loudly. He kept pacing around the room angrily while everyone else was quiet, even though they were also very upset. They could barely see any humans to feed on, and it was driving them crazy. In the midst of all this, Ravenna suggested they go out to fight with the werewolves, since she suspected they were the ones behind it all. Some of the people in the court didn’t agree with her, so it led to arguments amongst them. "We can’t go to them without a proper plan," one of the vampires said, and the rest agreed immediately. "The werewolves aren’t such easy targets; they are also very strong, so we have to be very careful and prepared before we go to fight them."Lucia Told them he had an idea, and all the other vampires looked in his direction.He smiled evilly and told them he would plan things and let them know. They ended the meeting later in the evening. LUCY’S MANSION It was Luna’s birthday that morning, and everywhere was cool as the planners went up and down, doing their work. Luna was seen wearing her birthday outfit and playing with her balloon. Her father had promised her that he would be around for her birthday, and the excitement she had been feeling after this news was something no one would understand. It was finally time for her party; her uncles and aunts were present, and even the whole werewolf pack. People were presenting their gifts, and Luna was seen smiling so happily. "This is my best birthday ever," she screamed. Her mother looked at her, smiling. Music was playing in the background, and people were seen dancing too. Suddenly, a car appeared some distance away.Without seeing who was in the car, Luna was already dancing and screaming with joy because of the balloons on the car. As the car got closer, it became clearer, but suddenly the car started moving weirdly, and the werewolves couldn’t control the car. It started racing so fast, which caught the attention of the werewolves in the mansion. Suddenly, Lucy saw someone on top of the car, and she started screaming, but her husband didn’t hear her. Luna was already crying, even though her uncle was trying so hard to calm her, she couldn’t stop crying. In the twinkle of an eye, their car caught fire and exploded.Without Thinking,Lucy transformed immediately, jumped over the fence, and ran to the scene howling.She couldn’t get close because of the fire, but she was howling very loudly. The other werewolves ran to the scene, trying to calm Lucy.After she was settled, she transformed, and their servant brought clothes for her. Lucy looked at the spot where her husband’s body got burnt. They took the ashes and decided to hold a burial for them. After two days, they decided to bury them in the same place because their ashes were collected together. On the day of the burial, Lucy was seen looking haggard and unkempt.She was very pale and weak, but she still tried to be strong for her daughter. The burial went well, and it ended in the evening. Luna stayed glued to her mom, and they were together throughout the day. It was in the evening of that same day when someone was seen walking around in Lucy’s mansion. One of the werewolves called Lucy’s attention to it, and she looked closely at the person, curious as to who he was and what he wanted. She went down to the floor, came up behind him, pushed him to the wall, and pinned him. She threatened to kill him if he tried anything funny, but he didn’t fight back, and he just gently begged Lucy to please keep his son safe.He showed her a necklace that had his son’s face on it. "I don’t want him to leave the life I’m leaving," he said. Lucy looked at him, full of pity, and decided to let go.In The blink of an eye, a court of vampires filled Lucy’s house, ready to fight her.This sudden change of situation drew the attention of the other werewolves in the mansion, and they all came, changing into their full form and fighting the vampires. The fight was an intense one.Out of confusion and fear, Dante ran from the scene. Lucy was a very strong contender, being the first in command in the pack, so she managed to stay firm and fight the vampires with some of her pack.The fight had almost ended because most of the vampires had already run due to their injuries, but suddenly Luna came down, calling Lucy’s name and crying. Lucian saw this, smiled evilly, and was about to feed on her when Lucy saw him. She ran straight to her daughter, turning into a full werewolf and shielding her, but she became food for Lucian; he bit her on the back. Mat, Lucy’s younger brother, saw this and immediately ran to her, throwing Lucian into the air.Immediately,Lucy transformed back to human, but she couldn’t get up. The vampires around, seeing this, immediately attacked again, killing a whole lot of the werewolves. Mat carried Luna, who was crying loudly and calling Lucy’s name. The remaining pack fled the house and left the others there. Intheforest Dante is seen pacing around his little hunt house, regretting why he went to see her and hoping she was okay when suddenly he heard footsteps coming from behind.He immediately turned but didn’t see anyone. He stood still, facing the direction while Lucian calmly descended behind him.He turned around immediately to look at him, and anger filled his eyes upon seeing that it was Lucian.“I told you not to come see me again. I don’t ever want to see you again,”he screamed .Lucian looked at him angrily and then started laughing.This got Dante upset, and he tried to throw Dante, but he couldn’t.Seeing how he tried, Dante smiled, telling him he would need to feed before he could think about throwing him, not to mention having a fight with him. FLASHBACK Dante was seen coming back from the riverside when he saw bodies of humans lying about.Scared, he started running home but got unlucky when he hit his head against a very big rock and immediately collapsed. Lucian was walking around when he saw him and decided to help Dante. He took him into a small cave, bit to wake him up, and then turned him into a vampire. After what seemed like forever, Dante woke up trying to remember what happened when he suddenly saw Lucian sitting somewhere away from him.Scared, he asked him what he wanted, and he simply said he saved him from dying. Dante got up and wondered how when his hands suddenly touched his neck and noticed there was blood and an injury.He took the shining metal sheet that was in the room and looked at his neck; to his surprise, he had been bitten by Lucian. He screamed very loudly, crying and throwing himself, asking why he bithim. Lucian insisted that he wanted to save him, but Dante insisted that he should have let him die. Lucian told him to follow him so he could meet with the other vampires, but he refused, saying he would never be a part of them. He left running home after this, but he couldn’t go back to his normal life.
