Chapter Twenty-Six

ETHAN'S POV

We barely made it to the garden before I heard my dad say "Ethan, Your here finally. I should warn you, your mums on the look out for you" He says stopping his chatter with Ian.

"I know, I just see mum.. She was surprisingly okay" I say

"That good. It's good to see the rest of you as well. Where have you all been hiding to?" My dad says

"Thats my fault, I was hiding away Ben. Sorry about that. Dad, I'm good now Sid has promised to stick by my side" Sienna says

"Ah, that's alright. My ears haven't been sleeping and for the record I think you look great with that hair" My dad says and I know he would come through in not being a busy body.

"Alright, You want to help with these fireworks then?" Ian asks.

"Yeah sure.. we will see you kids out there" My dad says laughing and Charlie says "Hey, come on we are all grown adults now".

"Yeah, yeah. We will still all run rings around you kiddos" My dad says laughing at us.

"That would be funny to see you put these boys into place" Sienna say.

"Huh, I'm offended your ment to be on our side" I say.

"I know, but the look on all your faces was priceless" Sienna says as we hear our dads laughing there head's off, as they walk out the door.

"I'll show you who will run rings around who at the gym" Harry says nudging Siennas shoulder gently.

"Alright, I'm sorry. Let's go before someone else stops us" Sienna says

"Yes, let's go" Sid says shooing us along with a arm signal.

"For grown up's, I didn't think we would be sneaking around to escape the older people come this age you know" Harry says as we also walk outside

"Ah, man. That's a good point" Charlie says

"Yeah, espically our parents. So tell me whats the plan for the final escape and when?" I ask.

"Your taking me with you.. no way I'm staying here" Sienna says

"I've plenty of room at the inn for all" I say laughing.

"Its been a while since we did drinks at yours. I'm game" Harry says.

"Yeah! I'm in as well" Charlie says as if we have literally twisted his arm and ita dawning how much a good idea it is as he speaks the words.

"I can't, we got Jordan. Plus Maria prefers her own bed at the moment. I can't blame her either" Sid says

"Sucks to be you" Charlie says as were finding a seating area that's still free.

"I think Sid has the best deal" Sienna says

"I didn't mean it like that. You know that. I'm sorry princess" Harry says hugging Sienna before we sit down.

"I know" Sienna says sitting next to me and then Sid sits next to her Charlie sits the other side of me and Harry sits the other side of Sid.

"Its a shame Maria prefers her own bed because you all could of come over. You could of had the biggest room" I say

"Whats this about me and my bed" Maria says appearing from behind us but leans down to hug Sienna as she then says "I got ear defenders for Jordan. But they keep falling off.. Will he be alright out here with the loud banging from the fireworks? I'm concerned about his little ear drums?"

"Wrap a blanket or use a hat to maybe hold them in place and Jordan should be fine. But its really up to you. I'm sure dad won't mind if he sit inside with someone holding him at the window.. I'd do it myself, trust me I really would prefer it, but dad really wants me out here" Sienna says

"We were all talking about escaping to mine afterwards and said its shame you like your own bed otherwise you could of all stayed over including Jordan" I say

Maria looks between me and then to Sid with a confused looking face and raised eyebrows. Sid seeing this says "What?"

"Its you who loves that bed more than I do!!!.. Hmm, Your all going?" Maria asks looking at everyone.

"Well obviously not me" Sid says and I fear we may have caused a argument.

"Don't tell me you want to stay here with all these people" Sienna asks

"Well obviously not" Maria says sounding like she would rather eat her own feet than do such a task with a facial expression that screams help me.

"Then escape the same time we do" Sienna says.

"I don't want Jordan out to late" Maria says

"But I said you can all stay" I say.

Maria whispers something into Siennas ear that the rest of us look at them both wondering whats going on, I don't hear it as its the other side to me.

"Its fine.. I'm so tired, I think one drink may knock me out. I had like three hours sleep eventually. Then I was dragged around the shops and had all this done. Its already late as well. Plus even if worse case happens I'm sure one the lads will be there for me to annoy. You can then just worry about Jordan".

"Are you sure?" Maria says sounds hesitant

"Oh trust, me I'm sure. Staying here with everyone giving me sad eyes asking how are you deer?, Will be way more torture and I'm not willing to leave you behind with them.. there bloody scary" Sienna says and Maria laughs with a understanding look before saying "Oooo don't there driving me insane as well. I want to tell them to shut up, but then I'm also being asked and is he sleeping the whole night yet? How are you recovering and how's Sienna with Jordan. Its like seriously she can love her nephew as well, I want to scream at them. So I've no idea how you must want to throttle them whilst keeping yourself in check" Maria says

"Excaulty, why no one is being left behind. We can have a good vent about them together later" Sienna says

"Deal, Do you mind if I borrow Sid for a few minutes to help me get Jordan ready then we will be right back" Maria says

"No, its fine. So long as these lot don't leave me as well, otherwise I'm telling you all now I'm running out that gate to China!!" Sienna says deadly serious

"Take me with you if you do" Sid says standing up.. "And me" Maria says.

"Dont worry, we won't go anywhere scouts honor" I say

"How many more times? You were never in the scouts" Sid shouts back at us as they head off to sort Jordan.

"What was that about princess?" Harry asks scooting closure to Sienna.

"You really want to know?" Sienna asks.

"Yeah, you said one of us lot would be there for you worse case, so I wanna know what I should be prepared for? Is it a war? Is it a spider invasion or hell even aliens? Or is it something worse?" Harry say

"Okay, its a baby crying" Sienna says.

"You a doctor, A World leading surgeon! operated on loads of babys and small children who makes tiny people cry to check them out and fix them, and your scared of a baby crying?" Charlie asks as if he is can't figure out why.

"No, yes. well sort of. You know what nevermind. I'm done with crazy people today" Sienna says sounding a little agitated.

"No, tell us and we will all listen without jumping in. Make them understand" I say since I think, I may have figured it out. But still unsure so, I also want to know myself.

"I don't always sleep well and nighttime are not always so nice to me. When I wake up, It's everything right there, beaming in my head and Maria knows I'm worried, I will get upset hearing a baby cry after a nightmare. A nightmare of that fateful day, where I ended up losing the babys. Its why I didn't want to stay at there's the other night.

But seriously I'm so tired today, I didn't sleep last night at all. I slept like three hours earlier before getting all pampered and that really was tiring in itself. Plus, I really did mean it, I'm not leaving anyone behind. We all stick together dont we. Plus my dad said some wise words to me this morning after we argued about me cleaning all night, He is right with his wisdom" Sienna say and I don't know what Ian said to Sienna but I'm glad he did. I'm proud of Sienna being brave enough in this moment to say all that.

"Well... I will make sure to be there if you do need us" Harry says

"And me, we can all cry louder than Jordan and show him how it really done" Charlie says and Sienna laughs saying "I don't think it works like that Charlie. I will be sure to let Maria and sid know not to give you my nephew if he is crying, your give us a bigger headache" making us all laugh.

"Your be fine, Because your have us all there for you if it happens. But you could just cuddle me again you always sleep better that way" I say pulling Sienna in for a cuddle which she doesn't refuse much to my delight.

"Hey, she is my princess tonight! You had Sienna all that time in the states" Charlie complains.

"Wow, no arguing over my sister now" Sid says returning, carrying Jordan in his pram carry cot placing it on the edge of the sofa.

"Yeah, thats right boys behave" Maria says lifting Jordan out and carrying him over to Sienna.

"Here, cuddle Jordan and hide between the boys. No one will dare come over then" Maria says and Sienna takes Jordan saying "If they do I'm getting under the blanket with you little man. I can save you and hide away from them silly people"..

"Alright quickly everyone gather round and let's get a photo before these fireworks go off, you know as proof we were here" Sid says making us laugh.

Everyone scoots closer with Maria moving Harry aside to sit next to Sienna.

Sid quickly gets the picture going to sit by Harry leaning backwards as he holds his phone up to get us all in the picture.

We hear Ian tapping a glass whilst saying "Everyone if I could have your attention for a moment" Everyone goes quite and then he continues "Firstly, I want to thank you all for coming. Me and Sue haven't had much chance to catch up with all our friends and family this year. We know your all aware its been quite a year for my family. But as you can see its Still filled with love and happiness. I couldn't be more prouder of my children and grandchildren this year.

So with that in mind, I wanted to light up the sky so we can all have fun and share some light with you all. But mostly share some light for my own family.

Sometimes life gives us hardships but there's always light ahead if you look in the right places.. Now, let's light up the sky and look forward to whats to come"

With that Ian goes and sets off the first set of fireworks to fireworks display.

SIENNA'S POV

I look up at the sky and watch the fireworks lighting the sky up.. I wonder if my babys can see them and like them. Or if there sleeping through them like Jordan.

I feel a hand on my shoulder and I look to see my mum.

She smiles standing behind me as she says "How you holding up honey? Me and your dad have agreed to lower the number of people next year. I think your dad got a little carried away this year"

"I have all my favourite people right next to me except for dad who is lighting the sky up for us all. I'm okay. But please do lower the numbers next year, some of these people are rude"..

"I know. Once the fireworks are done you can hide away somewhere. Me and your dad can entertain the guests" My mum says giving me an apologetic look.

"If you don't mind, I'm gonna sneak out and I won't be back until morning" I say.

"Your all up to your old tricks again?" My mum says smiling at us all knowingly.

"Yeah, dont worry it won't be in a field this time, We all have homes we can camp out to now. Mines the go to choice tonight" Ethan says.

"Yeah, and don't worry we will take good care of Sienna" Harry says with a straight face as of he is the kost responsible one out of us all.

"I'm messing with you all.. you know I couldn't any prouder than I am of you all.. you all grew up and you deserve to have fun, so go have fun but stay safe" My mum says

"We will mum" I say squeezing her hand and she gently squeezes it back.

"If you don't mind me and Sid are gonna go straight after the fireworks as well" Maria says

"Your all going to Ethans. I got the memo. Don't worry I know Jordan will be completely fine with you all there. Just wait until you all have family's of your own. your all be switching houses regularly and getting together still while getting the kids there own crew of best friends. Trust me I know all to well" My mum says

"Oh my god" I say not realising, I said my thoughts out loud

"What's wrong honey?" My mum asks.

"I could turn out like your friend Bella. You know aunt Bell who would take us out on play dates only to try get a date and use us as bait. And then when she did settle down and have a child we were like fifteen and she then, she barely came around anymore because your lifes are at different places. Plus she is the women with the annoying kid.

Nope I'm telling you now mum, if I am still not ready in five years when all these will be having children, I'm adopt or better yet I will do that what do you call it sperms donar thingy. I ain't losing my friends let alone turning into her. Then again that's if I can face having children then" I say horrified

"What. Why would you think that. You don't need no sperms donar Jesus christ Sienna" My mum says shocked.

"Dont worry Sue, If I have my way, I won't let it come to that" Ethan says and I look at him in shock.

"See, you won't turn into aunt Bella, don't worry honey" my mum says laughing

"You sound way to confident Ethan and mum your meant to be on my side" I say handing Maria Jordan so I don't wake him up keep turning around to face people in shock and surprise.

"I am honey, trust me" My mum says.

"I don't know what side of the bed you and dad woke up this morning but you both have way to many ideas going on today" I say and my mum says "Your dad did tell me what he said. Talking of which, I should really go keep your dad company. You all have fun later" my mum says then she walks off to go join my dad.

"What ideas did dad have this morning?" Sid asks as I look back up to watch the fireworks.

"He was pretty much picking me out a wedding gown. And no its not funny" I say but its to late Sid is already laughing.

"Whoos the groom?" Harry asks.

"Nevermind that whens the hen do?" Charlie say laughing.

"Haha very funny guys. It was all part of this fairy kinda tale idea he was trying to put into my head, after I made a dig because he was sending to me bed whilst originally wanting to read the newspaper to me" I say.

"This sound interesting now" Maria say looking very amused.

"Dont, it's been a really weird day but it's definitely had its highlights as well" I say whilst going wide wide to emphasis the weird day part and also taking a deep breath for my own sanity.

"Okay, we will stop teasing you now. But one last question was it cinderalla he read?. You know after your cleaning spree?" Sid asks with a teasing tone, just like he would when we grew up and he wanted to annoy me.

"That's it you better run" I say standing up and Sid starts running around the the seating area with me chasing him.

Maria and Harry start chanting 'Sienna, Sienna, Sienna.'

I chase Sid around the seating area three times that he stops looking behind him to see where I am in hope of gaining himself some more distance.

However i notice this and use it to my advantage, I quickly run through the seating area catching instead of continuing around it managing to catch him the other side as I dive on him until we both fall to floor.

I ruffle his hair before sitting up laughing and Sid shouts "Red flag, Red flag, I surrender! I'm sorry".

"That's what I thought" I say as we both start to laugh.

"Children behave! Some of us oldies are trying to enjoy the sound of fireworks in our old age" My dad shouts out whilst laughing at us and we know he is messing around. But then my mum shouts

"Oi, you cheeky bugger! Talk for yourself, And not the rest of us" and everyone starts laughing as me and Sid get up off the floor, I check to make sure I'm not to muddy and thank the weather for not raining lately, as it meant I could just wipe myself down without any lasting marks..

When I stand back up Sid wraps his arms around me and says quietly "Seriously though don't worry what others think. Yes, I hope one day when your ready, you and Ethan would get together. However if you can't do that, you know I choose and support you first right?"

"I know, I just don't know when the time will be right" I say

We then head back to join the others reclaiming our seats again as they all laugh at us still.
