Chapter Twenty-Four

SIENNA'S POV

I was glad to see my parents where home as the door opened and I walked in I shouted "Mum? Dad? Who's home?" I hear my mum Shriek with joy as she shouts "Sienna? your home early and she comes running out the living room to see me. I nearly trip over a bag on the floor as I rush to hug my mum..

"Whats with the bag?" I ask hugging my mum.

"I've got a flight booked to come bring you home. I was going to be leaving soon to catch it, the plan was to arrive tonight then drive you back. I didn't want you to miss my fireworks" I hear my dad say as he joins in on the hug. I move away from my mum a little to hug my dad properly as I say "Well you don't need to now as I'm home".

"I'm glad your home early, but why didn't you tell us?" My mum asks making out im in trouble with her tone of voice yet smiling so big even the sun couldn't beam more than my mums face.

"Because I wanted to surprise you all" I say before turning to my dad and saying "I wouldn't miss the fireworks dad, you pretty much pleaded with me, although I don't know why your suddenly fascinated with fireworks".

"Your see tomorrow. Come sit down you must be tired after the long drive home. I will get you a drink and some food. What time did you leave Scotland? It must have been early" My dad says.

"Actually, that reminds me dad. Mum, I believe you have my keys. I came home yesterday but you had already left and I couldn't get in. So I surprised Sid and Maria first. Ethan happened to be there as well. The short story is I'm not allowed to stay in a hotel so I choose Ethans over Sids. I didn't want to get in the way with the baby and stuff" I say

"Ooo, sorry honey. I completely forgot to tell you" My mum says as we all head for the living room.

"It's okay, but I will be needing them back if that's okay" I say

"Of course, I will get them for you now" My mum says.

"Its okay, I'm not going back out until later when I surpise Harry and Charlie" I say.

"I will still get them so I can't forget" My mum says getting her handbag and she starts rifling through it for the keys.

"I'm so glad your back" My dad says sitting next to me.

"I'm glad to be back because I missed you all, but I also miss Scotland as well" I say

"Well you can visit Scotland again some time. Just maybe not as long next time" my dad says and I know that's his way of saying he missed me to.

"Or I can just take everyone with me next time" I say.

"So long as you don't expect me to wear kilt its all good" My dad says whilst laughing.

"No, I got you all presents but there still in the car. I will bring my suitcases in a little later and sort them all out. I do need your help with something else though dad" I say.

"Whats that?" He asks as my mum hands me the keys and I say "Thanks mum".

"I want to buy my own home over here. Somewhere near to everyone but you know I'm not good at that stuff.. Will you help me please?" I say smiling sweetly.

"Of course, I can drag it out as long as possible. At least I can keep you home a little longer then, but also know your be close by and not miles away" my dad says happily.

"So you have decided to stay close by, I'm so glad to hear that" My mum says beaming even more which I didn't think would be possible.

"Yes, I still haven't figured out if I want to continue being a surgeon or go be a gp though" I say.

"Theres plenty of time for that. We can find somewhere not to far from us all but also the hopsital just Incase. There's loads of doctor surgery's around everywhere as well so that won't matter to much when picking your new forever home" My dad says and he has a good point there I think. Even if I don't go back to being a surgeon its always good to not be to far from a hospital.

ETHAN'S POV

"We need to talk" I say walking into Sids office. I was glad to have everything I needed to do done today. I knew Sienna had gone back home as she had sent me a message saying she had locked up and thanking me for having her stay over.

"Should I be worried?" Sid says looking up from his computer as I take a seat.

"We need to help Sienna rebuild her own confidence in herself. You know she doesn't love herself at all right?" I say.

"I did guess, but she hasn't told me. Did she tell you? What did she say?" Sid say stopping what he is doing to give me his full attention and I know its because it concerns his sister. People may think we all treat her like a sister but Sid really would kill anyone he could who so much as looked at Sienna wrong way growing up before rest of us.

"She said alot, but she didn't realise I was awake when she told me. She is more scared than we all realised. She is even scared of us all and how we react to stuff. I don't like it. I also know she just learnt this because she stated that she knows she is safe with us all" I say.

"I think we all knew that deep down anyway. We may not of wanted to admit it but I did have a idea. You just need to look at her own reaction to us at times" Sid says.

"I know, but still hearing it really made it true and I didn't like it. I think if we can help her love herself again that will be half the battle" I say.

"I agree, if I'm honest its bothered me for a while because I'm really out of ideas. I also think Maria was right last night maybe we need to listen more. I know we listen but we also always want to fix everything before maybe actually listening" Sid says and I can tell he has been thinking about this as well.

"I had that thought as well" I say

"What else did she say?" Ethan asks.

"She went into a little detail what that scum did to her.. she also stated how she really did try to fight back, you know she thinks we don't think she put up a fight. What she told me though she did fight back. She thought until all her dreams were to shattered. I won't tell you the details because it wasn't nice to hear. I really have no idea how I didn't lose my s**t hearing it. My blood was boiling in my veins. I really wished he was infront of me so I could destroy him. But I did find staying calm and not giving a reaction had a good effect on Sienna. I think maybe the more we stay calm when Sienna opens up to us, the more she will open up to us and not fear our reactions less" I say

"He got lucky, I have my own family! Because I'm telling you, I'd of sent myself to prison to finish him off" Sid says and I believe every word he says.

"Definitely, for now we just have to hope karma is catching up with him" I say.

"It better be" Sid says and his phone starts ringing. He looks at it and says "hang on one moment its my dad, He has been acting weird these past few days over firework night. I should get it"

"Sure, go ahead" I say.

"Hey, dad. If it's about tomorrow yes I'm still coming with Maria and Jordan" Sid says answering the phone. Then a few moments later Sid starts laughing before he says "No way, you were going to fly to Scotland to get Sienna and she showed up a hour before you were due to leave.. You didn't tell me that I could of given you a heads up"

I raise my eyebrow in surpise before laughing myself.

SIENNA'S POV

I spent the rest of my day sorting my suitcase out before I went and surprised Charlie first who then helped me Surpise Harry. They were both excited to see me.. Charlie had to do a double take look at me before he ran at me picking me up and swinging me around in the middle of the street.

I swear anyone walking past either thought we were crazy or lovers. Harry was tricked into meeting me for dinner and I swear he must of scared all the other diners nearly getting us kicked out before we even had our meal shouting "No f*****g way. Get out of here am I seeing our princess in the flesh" As he also ran over to hug me nearly sending a waitress flying. Thankfully with us all saying sorry's we were allowed to stay. After catching up and getting them to agree being gym buddy's with me I was glad to be home climbing into bed as I was tired from all the excitement.

But once again I couldn't sleep.. I'm sure its because I'm not walking since I've been back, I think to myself getting out of bed come three in the morning.

I gave up and decided to do something to keep me busy. I ended up cleaning the whole kitchen even inside the cupboards before I started on the bathroom.

I was in the middle of cleaning out the corner shelving unit when I was jumping out my skin because my dad said "What are you doing? It's half six in the morning?" I turn around to see my dad looking sleepy.

"Uh, cleaning" I say.

"Did you even sleep?" my dad asks.

"Um, no. I gave up trying and decided to clean. Do you need the bathroom?" I ask.

"Hmm, your just like your mum" My dad says as I stand up.

"Really?" I ask.

"Yeah, when she is stressed she will clean everything" My dad says guiding me out the bathroom by holding my upper arms.

"Oh, yeah.. I forgot about that. But I'm not stressed" I say.

"Sienna, we will talk about it after I've used the bathroom sweetie" My dad says then he closes the door.

"But I'm not stressed" I say louder through the door.

"Sienna, I thought you outgrew hounding me in the toilet years ago" my dad says back through the door.

"I did, I'm just stating I'm not stressed. Plus I'm cleaning this bathroom. There's plenty of others you even have a onsuite" I say

"Your mums using that and I'm use to this one when your mums using ours. After all its next to my bedroom" My dad says.

"Mums awake?" I ask.

"Yes" My dad says and I hear the chain flush

"Why are you both awake early?" I ask.

"Because we heard you banging around" my dad shouts and I can hear the water running.

"I wasn't banging around, I dropped the cleaning bottle in the bath by accident" I shout.

"Excaulty, it woke us up and you know isn't normal to be cleaning this early right?" My dad says as I hear the the water stop.

"What do you suppose I do sit in darkness? I may as well make myself useful" I say and the door opens and my dad points at me before saying "Give me me that spray bottle".

"No, I say wedging it between my arm and body" I say while eyeing my dad suspiciously

"And the gloves, your done cleaning. If anything you need a shower and then sleep" My dad says holding is hand out and giving me his don't even dare to say no to me again look and I surrender. A shower might be a good idea I think.

"Fine, I'll shower but I'm not tired" I say passing the spray bottle and then yanking off the cleaning gloves.

"Thats because your stressed" My dad says.

"I'm not, I just couldn't sleep" I say waving my arms in the air in despair.

"Hmm, and I'm the freaking king of England" My dad says waving his arms back to empathise me.

"I told you I can't sleep" I say

"Hmm, and why is that then? You tell me?" My dad says.

"I don't know" I say

"Well you looked ready to collapse last night, you have dark circles under your eyes now and even your eyes look red. So don't tell me your not tired. Your stressed and can't switch your mind off.. Shower and bed go" My dad says pointing in the direction of my room. I give up turn around and head for my room.

"I will be checking your in bed trying to sleep as well" my dad says I turn around and say "What am I five again?" then I whizz around again to continue to my room, but I hear my dad say "Be easier if you were".

I go into my room and get my stuff ready for my shower. Annoyed my dad has taken away the cleaning that was occupying me. I go for my shower making sure to take my time so I can calm down. When I get out the shower my dad has closed the curtains and is sat up with his feet up on my bed reading the morning paper.

"Theres a hot chocolate there. Full of milk, your mum had to help me find the hot chocolate though since you reorganised the whole kitchen. I also saw the paper boy today. I only usually see him around hoildays when I get up early to tip the boy" My dad says.

"That kitchen needed a revamp" I say picking up the hot chocolate.

"Hmm, and you need sleep. Come on sit down and drink that. I can tell you what's going on in the world" My dad says and if I wasn't bored last night, I have a feeling I will be in a minute I think to myself.

Sitting down on the bed I say "You know you can find all that out online for free now as the news breaks right?".

"Yes, but there's something about reading the paper that I just prefer. Today's breaking news however is nurses are striking again" My dad says.

"I don't blame them, there understaffed and and under valued nevermind underpaid" I say.

"I agree, I can read you the artical if you like?" My dad says

"No, I don't need a bedtime story and even if I did what kind of story would that be?" I retort.

"Fair enough, its definitely no princess story. But life isn't a fairy tale. You know that better than most. I hate that you had to find that out as well. I'd of much preferred you had a fairytale life like those story's I told you. But still even in some of them fairytales the princesses have to go through some hardships, before they got there prince charming and happy ever after becoming queen and king of there kingdoms. I wonder have you considered that your time for your happy ever after might just be your next chapter in life?" my dad says and I wonder when he became so wise in his words. It was always mum and Sid better with there words than dad. Dad was the fun type but left the teenage heart to hearts to mum.

"I hope your right dad. But no I hadn't thought of it that way. Yet you would think, with all the thinking I do these days I might of just thought of such luck for myself" I say before drinking my hot chocolate.

"Excaulty, maybe you just need to stop thinking and just go with the flow. See what's awaiting for you and you may just be surprised. Plus, I highly recommend Ethan as a king of choice for your kingdom. At the very least I could break his legs and lock him up in my dungeon if he breaks your heart in anyway and certainly before being locked up in prison" my dad says closing his newspaper and standing up.

"Your trying to marry me off already?" I ask stunned.

"No, but he is good for you everyone sees it. I will happily lock you up here in this castle if I had my way, but I don't think that would make you happy. I'm just stating in due time if you want to test Ethan to the test of becoming king of your kingdom then I'd approve. Now princesses need there beauty sleep. I will have your mum wake you in time for your appointments, I made yesterday afternoon" My dad says walking to the door.

"What appointments?" I ask.

"All princesses need pampering time to time and I wanted to add extra treats in for you since you arrived home early. Now sleep, before I have to cancel them. Nighty night" My dad says closing the door behind me.

"Wait what pampering treats and it's daytime" I shout so my dad can hear me and all I get back is a loud "Night Sienna".
