Dear Changbin, the love of my life,
I'm sorry. I'm so, so, sorry. I know that I've let you down by being your boyfriend. Now that I'm gone, you'll be free to be with your soulmate, and that person is not me. I have no soulmate, but I know that someone as perfect as you have one. Find them, and make their world as bright and happy as mine. I'm doing everyone who knew me a huge favor by taking my own life. It might hurt you at first, but you'll forget me soon. Promise me that you'll move on and forget ChanBin. I want you to be with someone who lights up your sky, not drags you down like I did. I love you Binnie, and will forever.
-Channie
Chan folded up the letter and put it on Changbin's nightstand
"I love you, sweetheart" he whispered, slipped on his flip-flops, and quietly opened the door. He took the elevator down to the ground floor, then walked to the beach. He took off his sandals and hoodie, then stepped into the cold water. He didn't feel anxious or scared about his suicide. He felt calm and at peace. He walked deeper until he was submerged. His lungs burned, but he ignored the pain. His vision started to get foggy, so he closed his eyes and waited....waited...waited...
He fell into a night that would never end.
Changbin woke up with Chan's side of the bed empty. He looked at his nightstand and saw a letter. He opened it with a smile that quickly disappeared. He scanned the letter with horror, then dropped it. He sat down in shock, then yanked the door open, ran down the stairs, and to the front desk. "I need help! My boyfriend left a suicide note in our room and I think he drowned himself!" he cried. The secretary smiled sadly. "I know, honey. Air Jordans hoodie, black sandals, and navy blue shorts? He came down at the beginning of my shift, with that sad look on his face and I knew what would happen. He's long gone, sweetie. Do you want me to call someone?" she asked. Changbin shook his head. "You're right. N-no. I'd like to cancel the rest of our reservation. We're in room 312," she smiled. "I'll cancel. Check-out is in 2 hours. Is that enough time?" Changbin nodded. "That's fine, thank you," he turned and walked slowly back to the elevator, feeling...dead. Dead.
