CHAPTER2

Amelia headed for the bleachers.She was looking for her mate,Jake.He has been avoiding her and has not been answering her text or picking her calls or returning them.School was over for the day and Jake had avoided her throughout.His friends had told Amelia that he was in the locker room when she had asked about his whereabouts.

Jake was captain of the boys soccer team. He was popular among the girls and he was a jock. He was handsome and many of the girls in their school wanted to be with him or just sleep with him. Amelia felt so lucky to have him. The moon goddess has blessed her with a handsome mate just for her. At least,he made up for where she was lacking in looks.They had played a game and lost and she wanted to comfort him and also find out if she had done anything wrong since he had been ignoring her calls and text messages.

She got to the locker room and was about to open the door when she heard moans and groaning.It sounded like someone was in pain.She was about to panic and barge into the room when she heard Jake's voice.

"I have missed this.I have missed this body and everything".

Amelia's world shattered into pieces.She thought she was dreaming.That was definitely Jake's voice.Who was that with him,she thought to herself.He was definitely in that room and doing s****l stuffs with another girl that wasn't her.

Was this why he had refused to kiss her ever since he found out they were mates? He didn't acknowledge her in school and had told her he didn't like public display of affection. He never wanted to eat lunch with her in school or sit with her. The only place they coulf meet was in his house,in secret.Whenever she brought up the fact that he always avoided her touch,he always made excuses,that he didn't want to rush into anything. Yet,here he was doing exactly what he refused to do with her to another woman

She pressed her ears to the door as she laughed bitterly to herself.She was indeed a sucker for pain and she was a coward.Any other girl would have barges in and confronted their boyfriend in this situation. Her best friend Lola,would definitely do that.Lola is a very bold and confident girl and when she found out that Jake was her mate,she had not been happy.

Was this the reason? "Does Lola know something?" She murmured to herself. She will ask Lola later. Now she needed to head more and try and find out who Jake was in there with.

"I want to be in you so bad",she heard Jake say to the mystery girl with him.

Then she heard tearing of clothes and more kisses and groans from Jake.

"Finally,I am home.I have missed being inside you,my love.It has been driving me crazy that I have not felt your touch ",he continued.

Amelia held her hand to her her mouth to stop any sound from coming out so that Jake won't hear her.She felt tears streaming down her face.She felt so betrayed.Jake has betrayed their love.He is her mate.Their love was supposed to be eternal.Maybe she was delusional.Its obvious she was the only one in love here.No wonder he had refuse to mate her.

The moon goddess must hate her so much.Why punish her this way? Giving her a man like Jake to love.This was nothing but punishment.She thought she had finally met someone who will love her,flaws and all.Thats who a mate is.Maybs it was because of her body size.She should have worked out more.

"Why am I caused with this kind of body?Why am I so big and flabby?"Amelia lamented.

As she silently wept,she heard the sentence that ultimately shattered her heart to pieces.

"I love you",Jake said to the mystery girl he was with.

Amelia ran.She didn't know where she was running to,but she knew she just needed to get away from there.Her heart was about to burst out of her chest.She felt so much pain.

"No! No! No!He can't.He is joking.He can't love her.He is supposed to love me and me alone.I am his mate.We are mates".

She cried and shouted.She kept crying.It felt like hours.Her eyes were red and puffy She tried to calm herself down.She can't allow her brothers or her parents see her like this. Her brothers will be so mad.

They will definitely try to kill Jake and it will bring about their death and ruin because Jake is the son of their Alpha and he is the future Alpha. She couldn't allow her brothers to be killed just because of a cheating mate. They were over protective of her and the could do anything for her,even risk their life.She decided to go to her best friend's house instead.

"Lola will know what to do". She murmured to herself.

She took out her phone to call Lola.It rang but there was no answer. She called again,there was still no answer. She tried it two more times and left a voicemail afterwards. She decided to go to Lola's house and see if she is around. She knew that she couldn't go home in the state she was.

Her family will surely know that something is wrong with her no matter how much she try to hide it. She is an open book and could hardly keep anything from her family. Her complexion always gives her away because she tends to get red when she is angry or sad.

She left the school premises and decided to walk to Lola's house.Her house was close by,ten minutes away from the school. She left her car in the school parking lot. She needed the walk to clear her head before she gets to Lola's house. She would come back and get her car later and probably tomorrow.

She was already dreading the speech that Lola will give to her. Lola had not been happy when she found out that she and Jake were mates. When Amelia has asked her the reason for her dislike,she had told Amelia that Jake is a player and is a liar,so he is not good for Amelia. When Amelia had told her to elaborate,she had said that was all she was going to say on the matter.

Lola had been distant lately. Always busy with something. She hoped Lola had gotten home because she had told Amelia she needed to go home to help her mom after the game. Amelia needed her advise on the issue with Jake and also find out what has been going on with Lola lately and the reason for her distance.

She got to Lola's house and ringed the doorbell. Lola's mother, Mrs Stewart answered the door and when she saw that it was Amelia,she got this weird look on her face but quickly covered it with a smile.

"Amelia darling,how are you? What are you doing here?"she asked.

"Hi Mrs Stewart.I am fine. I am here to see Lola. Is she at home?"

"Oh no dear. She isn't back from school. She said she was going to stay after class to watch the school game" Mrs Stewart replied.

"We watched the game together and she told me she was coming home. She left before me because she said it was urgent" Amelia replied.

Have you tried calling her?" Mrs Stewart asked

"Yes I called her several times and she didn't answer the phone " Amelia replied.

"Oh my! Will you come in and wait for her?" Mrs Stewart inquired.

"Oh! Don't worry Mrs Stewart. I will just go home and I will see her in school tomorrow.Please do tell her I stopped by and please tell her to call me as soon as she gets home. I have something to tell her. It's really important " Amelia answered.

"Okay dear. Will do. You take care now. Say hi to your parents for me" Mrs Stewart replied.

Amelia left Lola's house and decided to go to the cafe in town before going home.

"Where could Lola had gone to?" She thought to.

Lola had specifically told her that she was going home because she had to go and help her mom with something. Why would she lie to her? What was happening? Lola has started keeping things from her.

She needed to see her and find out what in the world was going on.
