CHAPTER3

f**k!!! Cade exclaimed in pain. His head was banging. He tried to open his eye and he quickly closed them back because of the pain.

"Who had left the light on?" He thought to himself. He always slept with all the lights turned off. He loved the dark.

He felt nauseous. His throat was so dry. He felt so thirsty. How much had he had to drink last night? The activities of last night was blurry. He didn't even remember how he had gotten home. He had gone to one of his clubs with his best friend who was also his beta and his younger sister who was his omega.

They had convinced him to unwind and let loose. They had complained that he was too upright and rigid so he never had fun. He had obliged them and now he regretted it. The raging headache was enough reason to never listen to his best friend and omega again.

As he tried to get up from the bed,he felt a hand on his body and a soft moan. He froze and tried to recollect who he had brought home last night. He did not remember coming home with anybody. Had he done it again? Had he brought a woman home in his drunken state,have s*x with her and not recollect what happened over the night? Who was on the bed with him? He needed to find out.

His skin was already starting to crawl from the feeling of the hand on his body. He hates been touched by someone unfamiliar. He gently removed the hand and turned on his side and got up from the bed. When he stood up he turned towards the bed and looked at the person that was lying down on his bed.

She was naked. He had definitely had s*x with her. He looked down his body and saw that he was naked too. The woman on his be had dark hair ,big fake boobs and she was slim. He had never understood why most women needed to starve themselves and look unhealthy. He couldn't see her face because her hair was covering it. He could bet that her face was skinny as well and she will have fake lashes and fake lips as well.

He felt nauseous. He felt like spilling his guts. He rushed to his bathroom and vomited whatever was left in his system into the toilet. When he was done he flushed and washed his face. He looked in the mirror in his bathroom. He couldn't recognize the face that stared back at him. His vibrant blue eyes looked dead. These eyes were once full of life before Grace betrayed him.

The thought of her left a bitter taste in his mouth an he felt so much rage and pain. He wiped the thought of her from his head and proceeded to brush his teeth and take a shower.

He was done brushing and was about to hop in the shower when he heard his name been called and light footsteps coming towards the bathroom.

"Alpha Cade,you should have woken me up to join you. You were a beast last night. I enjoyed every bit of it and I want more". He heard the woman in his room say.

He sensed her at the door of his bathroom and shouted with anger "Don't you dare come in here. Stay where you are".

He heard her foot steps falter and she answered with a shaky voice "Alpha Cade,is something wrong? Did I do something? Please let me know. I will do anything to make it right ".

He felt so irritated and angry. He sneered in his alpha tone, knowing she can't resist " Leave! Put on your clothes and get out. Now!". He heard her whimper an try to say something,but he knew that she can't resist his alpa tone.

He heard her walk back to his bedroom. Few moments later her heard his door close with force. He sighed in relief. She was gone. He didn't even get to see her face and he didn't care. He proceeded to have his bath. When he was done,he came out and proceeded to prepare for the day.

While he was preparing,he felt his beta, Emnette reach him through the pack link.

" I just saw the hottie you brought back home last night,leave in anger with tears streaming down her face. What did you do this time?" Emnette exclaimed.

" What did I do? What did I do? You and Jane caused all this. I shouldn't have listened to you guys" he shouted back at Emnette. He was so angry and closed the link so that he won't say something he might regret later.

A few moments later,he heard footsteps and Emnette barge into his room without knocking. Typical Emnette.

" What do you want?"he sneered at Emnette.

"I am not in the mood for your games" he continued. His eyes were already turning red and his claws came out. He was livid.

" Cade, calm down please. Just calm down. I am sorry for making you stay back at the club to party,but I swear to God,i tried to make you come home alone. You shouted at me in your alpha tone. You told me that I should let the lady be when I was trying to pry her away from you. I had no choice than to let you be. I am sorry".

Cade saw the fear in Emnette's eyes. He heard the truth in his words and his wolf calm down. His claws retracted and his eyes returned to the vibrant blue it originally is.

He sighed and said to Emnette " I am just tired. I didn't mean to scare you. I am just tired of the vicious circle of me getting drunk, bringing a woman and sleeping with her".

"I understand and I am sorry. It was my fault. I shouldn't have convinced you to come with Jane and I. We just hated the fact that you buried yourself in work and affairs of the pack. We just wanted you to unwind. We didn't mean any harm" Emnette said.

"It's okay. I am sorry for been aloof and gloomy. I will try to become friendly" Cade replied.

"Thank you. I would really love that" Emnette replied.

Cade went back to preparing for the day. When he was done,he turned to Emnette and was about to ask for the whereabouts of Jane,when he noticed the worried and forlorn look on Emnette's face. He looked up and saw him staring and tried to smile.

"What is wrong Emnette? Has something happened?" Cade enquired.

"No alpha. Everything is fine. I am perfectly okay" Emnette replied.

Cade felt Emnette was not telling him the truth. He hates to do what he was about to do, but it was the only way to get the truth out of him

"Emnette,tell me what is going on right now" he demanded in his alpha tone. Emnette stood straight up immediately. He knew he couldn't resist the alpha tone. Taking a deep breath, Emnette replied him."She is back in town alpha".

Cade felt a chill go down his spine and bile in his throat. He already knew who Emnette was talking about,but he just had to ask, already dreading the answer.

"Who is back?"

"Grace,alpha", Emnette replied.

Cade felt the color drain from his face. He couldn't breath properly. Then he felt so much rage and hatred. He suddenly changed into his wolf and dashed out through his window. He ran into the woods and howled so loud. Whoever heard his howl felt a cold chill with it.
