For hours, Caleb sat there thinking of what he had just seen. Could it be his imagination or was it his father he had just seen? He tried to recall what he had seen and he had no doubt in his mind that he had seen something else.
“You let him get away,” Hailey said as she came up behind him. “Why do you look like you have just seen a ghost?” She added. She walked ahead to see if she would be able to figure out the direction they went but seeing no trace of the masked man, she returned to him.
“Maybe I really have just seen one.” The others helped him to his feet as we hurriedly got out of sight.
“What do we do now? We cannot return without Kyle.” Ethan said and Hailey nodded, trying to think of what to do, seeing how they had just narrowly escaped from danger.
