First Day
Several years ago, many people started to display odd changes. They would have powers unlike anything in this world. This led to chaos and panic. Many didn't know how to control their powers and this led to many deaths. Our ruler decided that there would be a school on how to control your powers. We were isolated and treated differently but we kept going.
The school the president had created for people like us was named WMS High, short for Witches and Wizards Magic School. I heard it was a top notch boarding school and really helped others use their powers for good and today is my first day at this school. I am so happy.
Hello, my name is Rose Thompson and starting today I am finally old enough to go to this magic school. People like us have to go to this school when we turn 16. The president says that is when our powers are developing and we need guidance. I just turned 16 yesterday so the school has sent a bus to my house.
My bags were packed and I was ready to go. Even though I was excited, I feel sad about leaving my mom here all alone.(My dad left when I was three and it's just been me and my mom)
I walked downstairs and my mom was at the door trying to hold back her tears. The bus had arrived and I walked downstairs so that I wouldn't be late. I gave my mom a hug and walked to the bus. I could sense her crying behind me. As I approached the bus, I dropped my bags and turned around and ran into my mother's arms. I gave her the tightest hug ever and she gave one back to me. I ran to the bus with my eyes filled with tears and I didn't look back. If I looked back I would want to run back to my mother and never let go.
I found a seat and looked back at my house as the bus set off. One hour later, we arrived. I became very nervous. I knew no one here. I never had a friend because of my powers. My mom said my powers were to be hidden because people would fear me and try to kill me. She said even my own people like me would fear me. I have to keep this power under wraps. No matter what it takes.
I walk off the bus and I bump into someone. Their coffee spills all over their shirt. "I am so sorry. I didn't mean to." I said. "Are you blind? How come you can't see a person walking in broad daylight. How are you going to pay back for my coffee? He replied. "I ill buy you another one". "You can't buy me another one. I flew all the way to Paris just to get this coffee. Just move aside Idiot." and on that note he just walked away pushing my shoulder really hard.
I ran to him just to clear things up. I couldn't start the first day on bad terms with someone who might be my fellow classmate. I ran in front of him and asked him what I could do to repay him. I saw that his shirt was messed up and tried rubbing it off with a napkin. He pushed me on the floor. This jerk was kinda getting on my nerves now. I got up and asked "What is your problem? I am just trying to help you, you a**hole." He looked at me like it was the first time he was getting yelled at. Everyone else looked at me strange too but that wasn't going to stop me from going all out on this jerk. He looked at me for a second with a awe look on his face. I walked away from him and tried to find my class. First day and I have to meet a jerk like him. Hopefully not everyone is like that around here.
