I stared at my wife, confused.
The second our eyes locked, she froze solid, rooted to the spot like she had never in a million years expected to catch my gaze.
"Honey..." she whispered, dipping her head as I walked toward her.
"Wait, why did you come out of here? I swear you went into the fitting room next door just a minute ago, right?" I asked.
My brain was still spinning over which room she had exited, so I stepped toward the adjacent fitting room, ready to check if anyone was inside.
"Hey!" she yelped.
She wrenched my arm hard, yanking me straight into the fitting room she had just stepped out of without a single word of explanation.
The tiny space left no room for extra movement.
The second she slammed the lock shut behind us, the air in the closed room went thick and scorching hot in a heartbeat.
The faint murmur of passing foot traffic and shoppers filtered in through the door, and that constant, distant noise only cranked up the thrill of what we were doing.
I narrowed my eyes, hooked a finger under her chin to tilt it up, and chuckled low in my throat.
"Oh? So this is what you are into, huh?" I teased.
She did not answer. Instead, she wrapped her arms tight around my neck.
The soft, intimate contact of her body against mine, paired with the suffocatingly tight space, made every inch of me feel like it was going up in flames.
"Ah, be gentle, honey..." she moaned softly.
Soft, broken moans slipped uncontrollably past her lips. They carried loud and clear in the closed-in little space, impossible to miss.
My heart jolted, and I slapped a hand over her mouth fast.
"There is still someone in the next room, remember?" I whispered.
But my normally sweet, timid wife did not look scared at all. Instead, she let out a little soft laugh right against my palm.
"That is the point. I want her to hear," she said.
I lifted an eyebrow, completely caught off guard by how bold she was being.
When we were done, she pushed me away, her breathing still ragged, her voice soft with the faint tremble of someone who had just caught her breath.
"Go out first. Wait for me back in the car," she said.
I glanced down at her, smiled, nodded, straightened my clothes, and left first.
I waited in the car for around twenty minutes before I finally saw her push the door open and walk out.
She looked nothing like the messy, flushed state she had been in half an hour earlier.
Now she was perfectly put-together and stunning, her lipstick bright and glossy on her lips.
The second I pictured her hiding out alone in that fitting room after I left, touching up her makeup in secret, my chest went soft. I reached out to pull her close for a kiss.
But out of nowhere, she shoved me hard away.
"You get off on that?" she snapped.
