Orientation drama

1585 Words
It was the first day of college, and Boun got up really early. He headed to Yuna’s room, standing in front of the door. Slowly, he opened it and walked toward the bed. There, Yuna was sleeping soundly, like a little puppy. Why do you keep getting cuter every day, Nu Yuna? It took all the self-control in Boun to not lather the little fur ball in kisses. He sat on the bed, leaning in close enough to feel the warmth of Yuna’s breath on his lips. His heart pounded so hard that he even got chills down his spine. “Nu Yuna, wake up,” he whispered in Yuna’s ear, strongly fighting the urge to pin him down. “You have to get ready for the first day.” Yuna opened his eyes, and Boun quickly stood up. “I just came to wake you up,” Boun said, flustered, almost sounding guilty. Yuna quickly picked that up and laughed. “Why are you startled? I didn’t do anything.” Boun stood there awkwardly. “I’m not startled.” “you are. Your face is all red, you know” he teased further. “Just get up. We’re going to be late.” He walked out quickly without looking back. “Was he going to kiss me?” Yuna fantasized to himself as he covered himself under the sheets and giggled. After getting ready, they had breakfast. Boun asked, “Nu Yuna, are you coming with me, or are you driving yourself?” He grabbed his car keys. “Oh, I’m picking up Ezra from his dorm. You can just go first,” Yuna replied. “Okay, your bodyguards are right behind you. They’ll continue doing their job as usual. The difference is that this is varsity. Try not to attract attention,” Boun said as he headed out. He then gave one of the bodyguards special instructions. Yuna pulled up at Ezra’s apartment, took his phone, and dialed his number. “Hello! Ezra, I’m here. Come out; we’re going to be late for the first-year student orientation,” he said. Ezra rushed out of his apartment, clearly excited. “I can’t believe you’re here,” Ezra exclaimed. “I thought you’d want to drive with your hubby to college today.” He giggled, teasing him. “Lol! Just get in the car, and please don’t jinx my relationship before it even starts. We’re not dating yet,” Yuna replied playfully. “Right, I know,” Ezra said. “But I know you love being his passenger princess. That’s why…” They exchanged knowing glances and giggled. “Passenger princess? Don’t expose me,” Yuna laughed as they got into the car and drove off. “So, how’s your new place?” Ezra asked, changing the topic. “Well, it’s fine,” Yuna replied. “Way too big for two people. I can definitely throw a pool party; we have so much space.” Ezra leaned back in his seat. “Speaking of your place, did anything happen? You know, something romantic?” Yuna blushed. “Oh, you never let me drive in peace. But yes, something happened this morning. He came to wake me up in a really unusual way. He brought his face so close to mine; I could feel his breath on my skin. I swear I wanted to grab him and kiss him until I was out of breath, but I had to control myself.” Ezra grinned. “See? I told you he likes you. Who would do that to someone they think of as their little brother? Y’all just don’t want to talk it out. And I understand you’re considering your friendship, but this has been going on for too long.” Yuna sighed. “Ah, don’t even say that. I don’t want to be his little brother forever.” As they continued driving, Ezra glanced in the door mirror and noticed two black cars following them. “Mmh, your bodyguards are here,” he remarked. Yuna rolled his eyes. “Wait! You have two teams of bodyguards now?” “No,” Ezra clarified. “I still have one team. The other team is Boun’s. He ordered his team to stay with me. You know how he can be overly protective.” Finally, they arrived on campus. “Dammit! Where do I park this car? It looks like all spaces are occupied,” Ezra grumbled. Then he pointed. “Wait, that’s Boun’s car.” Yuna chuckled. “Looks like he saved up space for you.” As they stepped out of the car, Boun approached. “Good morning, P’Boun!” Ezra greeted him. Boun walked to the other side of the driver’s seat. “Morning, Ezra. Yuna, why did you take so long to pick up your friend?” “It’s my fault,” Ezra admitted. “I wasn’t ready when he arrived to pick me up.” Boun nodded. “Right, okay. Hurry; we have an orientation to attend.” The orientation had finally concluded, leaving Ezra and Yuna to explore their faculty building. As they strolled through the corridors, Becca, the ever-watchful friend, intercepted them. “Hey, big guy,” Becca teased, “it looks like your orientation just finished.” Ezra rolled his eyes, “Yeah, right. You said this would be fun. I’m exhausted.” “Aww, cutie… welcome to varsity. Cherish these days while they last. After this you will get no rest until you graduate.” She further cemented the fear in his heart. “That’s enough Becca, let’s go now. Show me around the faculty of commerce.” Boun said pulling Becca away. “These are the last of your happy days. It will be darkness from now on… darkness I tell you.” She said hysterically as Boun dragged her off. Sadly, Boun and Yuna weren’t in the same faculty and wouldn’t have the same classes. So he waved goodbye to his baby and walked away with his senior, Becca. “And what were you doing in their faculty building, anyway?” boun asked, as soon as they had turned their backs Becca smirked. “Oh, I see. You’re trying to drag me away, but it’s not going to work. Now that your wifey is here you don’t need me anymore?” “Becca, don’t! I told you not to call Yuna ‘wifey’ anymore. I don’t want him to hear you calling him that.” Becca grinned mischievously. “Calm down, big guy. I hear you, but I didn’t mention any name. Are you admitting that Yuna is your wife?” She playfully nudged Boun as they walked. He was completely fed up. But Becca was not someone that he could just get rid of. And it’s not like she was lying. “Yuna, I have to use the restroom. Please wait for me here,” Ezra said. “Okay, hurry up. I don’t want to stand here all alone,” Yuna replied, glancing around the hallway. “Just five minutes!” Ezra promised, dashing off toward the restroom. “Hey, nong! What’s your name?” Yuna’s bodyguards noticed an unfamiliar person approaching and were ready to intervene. Yuna signaled that it was okay. “I’m Maru,” the stranger replied. “Are you a freshman?” “Yes,” Yuna answered. “And I guess you’re a senior, right?” “You’re not only cute but smart too,” Maru complimented. “Yes, I’m a senior, third year. Let’s get along in the future. Have you toured the building? I can show you around.” “Okay, I don’t mind,” Yuna replied. “Who’s this?” Ezra asked as he returned from the bathroom. “He’s Maru, a senior from our faculty,” Yuna introduced. “Is this your friend?” Maru’s disappointment was evident. “Yes,” Ezra cut in. “I’m his friend, Ezra. Nice to meet you, Maru.” “Nice to meet you too, Ezra,” Maru responded. “Do you two cuties mind if I show you around?” “Don’t worry. We’ll manage just fine on our own,” Ezra said with a fake smile. He grabbed Yuna’s arm and walked away. Maru clenched his fist. “Darn it! The friend is so protective. I didn’t even get the chance to ask the nong’s number. But it’s okay; I’ll eventually get it. I always get what I want,” he smirked. Ezra looked back at Maru as they walked away, his face showing disgust. But Maru just smiled and waved goodbye. “I don’t know why, but I have a bad feeling about him,” Ezra said. “I don’t want you anywhere near him, Yuna. He doesn’t look like a good guy.” “Ah, stop exaggerating, Ezra,” Yuna replied. “He looks like a good guy. Trust me; nothing’s going to happen.” “You’re so naive, Yuna,” Ezra warned. “Don’t say I didn’t warn you, okay?” “Fine, fine. I hear you,” Yuna conceded. “Let’s go home. My feet are killing me. That orientation drained the hell out of me.” Yuna pulled out his phone from his pocket and dialed Boun’s number. “Hello, Boun! I’m going to drop Ezra off. I’m really tired. You’ll find me at home.” “Sure thing, nu Yuna,” Boun replied. “I have to drop off Becca too. I’ll see you.”
