Chapter 10

We all relaxed under the tree for a few hours. Around 5 pm a car pulled up to our driveway. Papa stands up to meet the guy getting out of the car, the passage side also opens where another guy gets out they look like brothers the first one is a little taller and older but not by much I can see. Both guys bow to Papa and then they shake hands. They are young, older than me but still young, they are both handsome and tall. The older one of the two has short brown hair and brown eyes, where the younger one's hair is black and a little longer but he also has brown eyes. They are both well built and you can see they both work out a lot. 

Papa leads them to where we are all sitting under the tree. I see my cousin Eva seems to straighten up she must like one of the guys. I have a feeling it's the older one of the two. When they stop by us we all stand up to greet them. Donovan, of course, greats them first being the future alpha and all. "Welcome to our pack I'm Donovan future Alpha and this is Ben my beta and his mate Kim and Steffie one of our top worriers" he shakes their hands. The elder one shakes his hand first and greets Donovan with respect but does not submit to him. " nice to meet you, Donovan, I'm Brandon and this is my brother Ethan." Ethan just shakes Donovan's hand and nods. They both turn to Mimi and bow to her before greeting her "good afternoon your Highness" they say at the same time. "Good afternoon boys." Mimi gives them a warm smile. Then they turn to my cousins and bow again and my cousins just nod but Eva cont keep her eyes off of Brandon. Then to my surprise, they both turn to me and neal down in front of me. " good afternoon your Majesty" they both say again at the same time, do these guys practice saying everything together. I'm just staring at them not knowing what to do when I look up to Papa he just smiles and nods for me to greet them. So that's what I do. "Good afternoon, please stand up and please call me Steffie I'm no your Majesty I promise.!" I'm blushing now this is so wired. Both nod and stand up "ever well steffie if that is what you wish " Ethan says taking my hand and giving it a lit kiss. Donovan doesn't like this and growls out " Mine " 

I turn to him with shock and surprise." What did you just say?!" 

His eyes go wide once he realized what comes out of his mouth. "I... I have to go!" He says so fast you could just hear it before he runs off. What the hell is going on with him and why did he say "mine" I don't understand what's going on. 

Donovan's POV.

What the hell! I cont believe, I just said that. I didn't want to tell her just yet I thought she was human and then I find out she's a shift and not any shifter but a tiger of all shifters. To top it all off she's a princess as well. How could she be my mate she's a tiger and I'm a wolf. When I found out on my birthday that she was mine I thought it was odd to have a human mate, it's not unheard of but we are one of the strongest pack in the world so I wasn't sure if she would be able to handle being the luna of our pack I wanted to ease her into it but now.

Now that I know who she really is I'm wondering if I'm even good enough for her. Can I be the mate that she needs the mate that can protect her from her enemy's not just hers but mine too? I would of never and I mean never rejected her human or not and I will not reject her now I'm just not sure if she feels the same. 

When I ran away from her just a few moments ago I ran to the forest and shifted into my black wolf Ray. He doesn't say a thing well I'm in my thoughts trying to figure out how to explain this all to Steffie. 

I hope she doesn't think I don't want her because I do I just was not sure if she wanted to be my mate and luna. I've always had feelings for Steffie but I've never shown them to her or asked her out because I didn't want to hurt her one day when I found my mate, then it turns out she is my mate. I'm so damn confused with everything that is happening and my wolf isn't helping at all. I just keep running trying to get my head together. 

My wolf growls at me to get my attention. "What Ray?" I asked. "Stop overthinking everything boy! She is our mate and she will want us just as we want her. Moon goddess would never have chosen us for her if we weren't good enough for her and you know that. So stop overthinking everything and just talk to her for goodness sakes!"

My wolf was right I was overthinking everything she's my mate and she will want me just as I want her. I was hoping to tell her on her birthday but it's already out there now so I should just go talk to her about it now and get it over with. 

With my mind made up I turn around and run back to the packhouse to see Steffie, my beautiful mate.
