Hidden jewel

Chapter 6

Training starts like any other day. We all start our run in human form, I've noticed the future alpha and beta keeping an eye on me probably trying to assess me for later but I'm on to them. I've noticed I've become much faster in the last month or so, I've always been able to keep up with the wolf but this feels different somehow. I'm sure I'll be able to pass the alpha at his top speed without breaking a sweat. I wonder if I should try or just keep in the back till I figure out what is happening to me.

I keep running as they all stop to change into their wolves. I must say they all look beautiful in wolf form even though some of them are real assholes. Light brown, dark brown, gray, and black wolf surrounding me its amazing when you take the time to look at them. Not too long and we all come to a stop. Beta James is standing in front waiting for everyone before we start phase 2 of our training combat.

Clapping his hands together he speaks "Alright everyone gets paired up!" 

there is this look in his eyes that I can't read, I wonder what he's up to. "Today's training is going to be a little different." he pauses looking at every one of us. "We are going to do some combat training but I will choose who fights who first up Daniel and Sasha!" he says with a big smile on his face. 

Ha! the old man is in on Donovan's bet he must have told him. "Listen up rules are simple don't kill your partner, no braking bones, whoever pin their partner down for 5 seconds wins. Am I clear?!" Beta James says in his Beta voice so that no one tries anything stupid.

"Yes sir!" everyone answered together. 

The two wolves start circling each other looking for their chance to attack. Sasha sees her opening and sticks kicking out and tripping Daniel. She gets on top of him throwing punch after punch. He blocked most of them, trying to get out from under her. He makes it with a second to spear. He's really pissed now. See Sasha is one of our smaller wolfs but she's can fight much better than most males here. Daniel langers but Sasha dodges just in time, using her elbow she hits him on his back with all her strength as his passing her. He falls flat on his face, ouch that had to hurt. Sasha wastes no time and pins him. Beta James starts counting... 1.2.3.4.5 Sasha wins the fight and Daniel is so pissed right now. 

Beta James is impressed with Sasha. "Listen up. Steffie and Ben are up next!" he says 

As you see I knew he was in on it. It's cool I'll show them what I'm made of I know I'll be able to pin him, hell I'll be able to pin the future alpha as well. We both smirk at each other Ben thinks he's going to win this. I'll let him think that for now. 

We circle each other waiting for our chance to attack. Ben grows impatient and attacks first I dodged him easily to which he starts getting angry and goes for me again. I keep dodging till I see my opening, with every failed attempt he gets angry and starts going on instinct alone. One thing I've learned over the years only using your instinct will get you killed you need to use your head too. I see my opening and take it. I punch him in his face and swing round to his back him sensing me on his back changes to his wolf through me off. He turns around lunging for me, dodged and kick him in the ribs not hard enough to break them but hard enough to nock his wind out. I lung and grab his neck with both my arms pinning him down. Beta James starts counting... 1.2.3.4.5. I win just like I knew I was going to. 

Everyone is in shock Noone has very beaten Ben except for Donovan our future Alpha. But here I stand and I've won this round. I help Ben up, he takes my hand and gets up. 

"Great job Steffie, I didn't know you had it in you. You've surprised us all!" he says shaking my hand and starts clapping.

 Once everyone sees Ben isn't pissed they all start clapping and cheering for me. 

I just give everyone a big smile. The training goes on for another 2 hours giving everyone their chance. Donovan comes up and starts speaking to me.

" Well I must say I'm impressed and seems you've won the bet what do I have to do?!" he says with a big smile on his face. 

  "Well I haven't thought of anything just yet but I will let you know when I do. Maybe something stupid in front of the whole pack what do you say?!" I say with an even bigger smile. Now he looks worried. That face of his says everything. He's kinda cute when he looks all worried. 

" Steffie don't be like that please, anything that's not in front of the whole pack please! " he begged me. 

" We will just have to see won't we!" is all I replied before leaving to go home and take a shower. 

I get to my room and go have a nice hot shower after a long day. When I'm done someone knocks on my door. I go and answer it, It's Ben. 

" Hi Steffie, the Alpha asked if you would go to his office when you're done," he says. 

"Okay sure, I'll go right now. Thanks, Ben" I replied. 

Closing my door I head down to the Alpha's office and knock on his door. Sensing it's me he tells me to come in which I do. 

"Alpha, Ben told me you wanted to see me!" I say well bowing my head in respect to him. 

"Ai, yes Steffie we need to talk. Please take a set," he says. 

I take my set and ask "talk about what exactly Alpha?!"

I'm worried, did I do something wrong that I don't know about. Is he going to kick me out of the pack because I'm old enough now? 

"Stop worrying you've done nothing wrong, Steffie. I just have every important thing I have to tell you and I need to do it now before your birthday in a few days," he says looking at me with worry in his eyes. 

"Okay, I'm listening!" I say to him. 

"Well Steffie what I have to tell you is not easy for me and it might be hard for you to understand why we had to keep this From you till now but you must understand we kept it from you to keep you safe as your parents asked me to before they died!." he explained to me. 

" okay Alpha your starting to scare me a little. Can you just tell me? Like rip the badge off? " now I'm worried what does he have to say.
