Steffie'S POV

Who the hell does Ben think he is growling at me. Ya his the soon-to-be Beta but he's not my Beta never will be a wolf boy. I want to say more but Kim stops me before I can. "Steffie stops it, you are only going to make him angry!" "Oh like I give a toffee apple if he gets angry Kim, he can't just go around growling at people as he sees fit. Future Beta or not. I don't give a rat's ass." that seemed to get his panties in a twist. "You will respect me! I am your Beta!" he says will all the strength in him.

To bad so sad for him, that so-called authority doesn't work on me one bit the damn ass. "Hahaha, sorry for you buddy that egotistical crap doesn't work on me. You are not my Beta and never will be. I'm not apart of the pack, I'm just staying in the pack lands by Your Alphas wishes. So go try using your so-called authority on your pack wolf okay wolf boy." That seemed to get to him. His eyes change color and his wolf is fighting to get out but I'm ready for him, I've trained all my life to deal with wolfs even before my parents died they trained me. Just be for the lunges Kim steps in front of him giving him her neck which seems to calm him down. He grabs her and pulls her closer to him. A breather in her sent well I'm standing here so confused. I'm sure I have the dumbest look on my face right now.

Then it finally clicked. Oh, Kim is Ben's mate no wonder he went all wolf boy on me and when he asked about Kim he was asking for himself, not the Alpha. Now I feel like such an ass. I didn't know he was being all wolf boy because of Kim's mate. When he growled at me it felt like he was challenging me and I just had to stand my ground damn I'm a real ass.

Kim looked at me with the biggest blush on her face and mouthed "are you okay?" which I just nodded to. Then Ben comes up to me and apologized for what happened. "Steffie I'm sorry I growled at you, I just couldn't handle hearing you say Kim has a thing for someone else. Her being my mate and all. And I'm sorry for trying to use my Beta status on you."

"Don't worry about it, Ben. I feel like an ass myself, if I knew she was your mate I would have never said what I said in front of you and I would have understood why you growled in the first, please. I'm sorry dude."

"It's cool Steffie, no hard feelings?" he asked.

"no hard feelings," I say to him.

"I'm sorry to butt in but if we don't leave now we are all going to be late to school!" Kim butts in.

So we're off to school once again.

Getting to school we just make it in time to our lockers and get our books out when the bell rings. So we are off to our first-class History. Ben and Kim are both in my history call with me and decided to sit together. In walks a confused Donavon and takes a seat next to me where Kim always sits. The teacher hasn't walked in yet so it gives all the kids time to talk to each other. All of a sudden Donavon. Turns to look at me. I give him a pointed look wondering what the hell he wants. "So I hear you toke on my badass Beta?" he questions me. I burst out laughing at what he says. "badass Beta you got to be kidding me right now. My little pinky toe has more badass than hour Beta." I say to him with all the sass I've got.

He doesn't seem to like what I've said, glaring at me he says. " You and him this afternoon. Fighting partners then we will see who is the badass."

" Bring it on Alpha boy!" I say shaking his hand just as we agree our history teacher walks in and begins the class. I'll teach them a lesson not to mess with me. I'm not one of their pack wolfs, human or not I'll kick their furry butts. I can't wait for training to show them how much I've improved over the past year of training.
