Gina's POV
No sleep, wake up!
Collect your money
Quick wake up.
***
My phone rang waking me from my deep slumber. I stood up from my bed feeling a sense of déjà vu hit me as I walked toward my bathroom, I fell flat on the floor as my knees gave way, my throat burned and my entire body ached as if I had gone ten rounds with Mohammed Ali's daughter and had emerged the loser.
I forcefully opened my eyes as it ached as if I had shoved black pepper into them the previous night which I didn't remember doing so.
I was sick that was for sure and I believe it had everything to do with the bite mark that had miraculously disappeared from my neck.
I was thirsty, what for I wasn't sure but It definitely wasn't for water. Alcohol maybe, but I doubted that.
Or maybe I was turning into a vampire.
"Vampires aren't real" I argued with my subconscious, she was the crazier part of me and usually thought opposite of the way I usually did, a true pain in the ass.
My ringtone blasted again reminding I was yet to check my phone. Trying to push my self up again, I couldn't so I lay flat on the tiled floor cursing out on the night I had gotten drunk and him... Whoever he was.
A sudden rap on my door made me raise my head a bit as it added to the pounding in my head.
I heard the door open but in my illness I couldn't tell if it was a burglar or someone I knew all that mattered was slinking into sweet oblivion.
"Babe! Babe, oh my God Emeka come" a familiar feminine voice called out.
Forcing open my eyes I stared up to see a blurry face then I passed out.

"Are you sure"
"Yeah"
"What if you are wrong"
"I no fit dey wrong, now shut up before you wake her"
I wanted to shout at the two bickering fools to shut up but I couldn't. My bones felt weak, my whole body burned as if I was been torn apart then fixed and all over again. My gums itched and hurt so much that I couldn't close my lips. My ears hurt as if every sound had been amplified a hundred times louder than ever.
I opened my eyes.
Two figures were arguing about something. A man and a woman.
Martha Ademola with her dark skin, perfect teeth and perfect hair and her curvy figure.
Emeka Nwafor with his brown skin, six foot three and slender in weight and his charming playboy smirk.
These two were my best friends but right I felt like murdering them.
"M..Martha!" I called out my voice all dry and hoarse.
"Babes!" She rushed toward me, that was when I realized I was laying on the cold ground in nothing but my underwear.
"T..thirsty.. w...water" I stuttered as my throat burned.
I watched with wide eyes as Martha slits her hand, forcing it to my mouth.
I whimpered as the metallic smell of blood hit my nostrils, my gum ached and I felt like my teeth had elongated without any hesitation I held Martha's arm to my mouth sucking like my life depended on it.
Martha moaned out loudly then pushed my head off with a force making me to fall off.
I hissed angrily, rushing toward Martha as I needed more but with a flick of her finger I was down on the floor.
Martha started chanting something in a strange language and even as a Igbo girl that barely understood Yoruba I knew she wasn't speaking her language. I tried moving but it felt like I was being held back by invisible chains. Giving up the struggle, I passed out.
