Unreal Vision

To say the plan was stupid is a big understatement. Because there was actually no plan, it was just attack without any supervision. In my defense I thought a Golden Knight and a Prince will have some sense. But they are as clueless as rest of us.

While Jayden has a rib fracture, Prince was being treated for a severe cut on his thigh, Kasper had a head injury and me I was totally alive and awesome because if I hadn't gone all cursed killer then these boys might have died there. Downside of this is Blade now knew about my touch and kill thing...so.

What happened to all let's run and kill plan, I will tell you right now.

The first thing that happened after we ran away was meeting a guy in a pub kind of place. Or it was more like small cottage filled with drunk and depressed people or people who love to thrown money on gambling and other s**t.

Being the only girl in the group I was in the middle practically hogged by three guys. I was made to wear an extra large hood to cover my face. It felt kind of uneasy but I went along for peace among them.

A guy in long green coat came over and whispered something in a girl's ear carrying drinks. She carried the tray filled with drinks to us and with a coy smile gave one to Blade and whispered something in his ear. Blade nodded and sat down on the table closest to the backdoor.

"A man will lead us out to the water fall." Blade informed us.

"What water fall?" Jayden asked who seemed as clueless as me right now.

While Kasper on the other hand, was just eyeing the crowd in a way that they seemed scared of our group.

"The water of fall of tears." Blade said as if it cleared everything up.

I waited for an explanation but Jayden just nodded in understanding.

"Excuse me but could you just clear it up for the illiterate here?" I said with a sarcastic tone.

"Waterfall of tears is the waterfall created when some supernatural creature killed one of our water dragons. When it was killed, it's mates body disintegrated into water droplets and the waterfall was made." Blade explained and frankly I was fascinated.

"Why there?"

"Because in that waterfall resides a spy royal family placed." Blade said with a smirk.

Before I could ask who the spy is, a man came with lot of grey hair, beard and sunken eyes. He looked like he was stoned but there was something about his stance that screamed vigilance. We followed him without a word.

"what if your family gets to know of this?" Jayden asked surprising us with his sudden concern question.

" I will be severely punished but I can't let this go." There was thirst for revenge in his words.

"One of the teachers that died in that attack was my childhood instructor and closer to me that my own parents." Blade confessed and it seemed we all can relate with his feelings so we just moved along without any drama.

The waterfall was really far and it took almost an hour for us to reach there. But we were dropped off on an entrance to a forest rather than anything related to water.

"I leave you here. I will not cross the forest with you." The stoned looking man said.

So we started walking in the forest that was too dark.

"I hate snakes."I shared my fear because it was too silent for us there.

Blade chuckled and obliged me with an answer, "I hate dragons."

"I hate Krakens." Jayden confided and I detected laughter in his voice.

"I hate humans."Kasper said in an icy tone and we all laughed like crazy in a dark and possibly deadly forest.

Suddenly Kasper stopped and raised his sword in a gesture for us to stop. And when we did I realized something was rustling. We became alert.

"Moon Raccoons." Jayden said not sounding worried at all.

Raccoons are cool but what is this moon raccoon?

"They are powerful under moonlight and can jump , attack and walk with a speed ten times faster than a normal raccoon." As I needed any more motivation, I started moving faster.

But before I could move, Jayden's hand pulled me back through looping them around my waist. He didn't even let me look angry because he whispered, "We are surrounded."

"They don't eat humans, do they?"I asked pretty sure the answer was not something good.

"We are the favorite meat," Blade answered.

And then came the attack. Now I am a total badass but when in an almost dark forest when a white eyed raccoon jump at you with teeth like needles you tend to freak out. My sword worked fine on then as I chopped the many attacking me with ferocity.

We were really surrounded because we were all back to back right now. The moon which was not shining a few minutes ago was now shining too bright powering up those over sized rats.I was more disgusted than creeped out. They were too many, attacking us from the ground, jumping over us from every direction. I got a slight scratch and the next thing I know all of them were burning. Blade seemed surprised and Kasper was looked for the source of help. Jayden looked angry and was burning the raccoon army with ease. His command on fire was beautiful to watch as it swirled around us hurting only the ones Jayden wanted.

Kasper immediately threw a large dash of water on the fire and gave a dry look, "We don't want whole forest to burn down."

Tired and feeling itchy we started moving again and walked for almost half an hour in complete silence. The moonlight was making it easier for us to walk.

"Are we even walking in right direction?"I asked the weird boys around me who were all silent now.

"We are." All three said in unison.

"And how are we sure?"

"Because I can sense the magic of waterfall," Blade answered for all of them.

Okay so show off people, they were all good with magic while I sucked.

"Well, how far are we?" I nagged just for the fun of it.

"Close," Kasper answered walking next to me.

"How many minutes?"

"We can't tell that," Blade said.

"Why, you can't control the time you magic lords." I sounded pity even to myself.

"You can try feeling it as well." Jayden said looking at me with amusement.

So I tried thinking about all the damn water droplets and molecules, rain and teardrops and then I heard the splash of water.

"I can hear it." I said with a certain level of excitement.

"Umm.. because we are here." Kasper just busted my bubble of excitement.

We walked out of the darkness and saw a beautiful waterfall, water like white foam and looked beautiful under the moonlight.

"Now what do we do?" I asked looking at the breathtaking surroundings.

"We wait for our spy." Blade sat down on his knees and hummed some tune.

Suddenly there was other humming and it was sweeter almost magical. And I noticed a stunning girl in the water. She had the bluest eyes with green flecks. Her blonde hair was braided with tiny beads and made her look like a princess. But on looking carefully, I noticed she was a mermaid.

Her eyes roamed around on the boys and then it landed on me and hate flashed in them.

"I can open the path for entrance but I am not sure I can open it for an exit." She said in a voice too beautiful like a song.

"That will be fine Merlida." Blade said and gave her a turquoise colored gem.

She bowed and then gave a coy smile to Kasper and Jayden.

"Evil soul." She murmured before diving back into the water.

Much to my relief, no one reacted to her comments and soon after she swam off a bridge of pearls formed and a cave opened behind the falls. Jayden's arm didn't even surprise me this time when it looped on my waist.

"Careful now."He said pulling me closer to him.

"I can handle myself well Jayden."

"Frozen, now is not the time to be heroic. Allow someone to protect you for once." He looked real serious and worried now.

So for the benefit of peace again I nodded.

We were walking in and I was trying my best to be fearless. But a cold wind hit me and I felt something swirl inside my body. My head spun for a moment and I was glad in that moment that Jayden held me. I felt the blood rush through my body and I felt like puking. A sharp pain hit my chest and sudden uneasy feeling made my vision blur.

"Annalise, what's wrong?" Jayden whispered next to me.

And then the black smog started covering the area. The cave was gone, it was now a big hall with walls covered in blood. It reeked of death and something that made me nauseous. I jerked myself away from Jayden's grasp not sure why.

This stopped Blade and Kasper as they looked at me. I felt annoyed for some reason and then angry.

"Annalise, what's wrong?" Someone asked out of the three but I was still trying to breathe properly.

My senses were sharp and I can hear the hidden creatures around us.

"Someone is here." I croaked trying to warn the guys.

The attack started as soon as I said that. This was a clear trap. It was not a place with actual power, this was just a replica, a vision of it. The attackers were too many and the situation was familiar for me. I have been training for this since I was six.

There were gargoyles, djinns, trolls, griffins and anything small enough to fit in that large hall. The attack was relentless but so were we. After chopping off a minotaur's head I realized. I was not being attacked, I was just killing. The monsters were not the normal kind. They were more powerful somehow enhanced and really hard to kill.

Even the best of us were struggling. I don't know who was injured or how anyone was fighting. Right now my focus was on the enemy. My mind told me that I am not to be messed with and I should let this know. So this time my overpowering urge made me throw the sword and I walked confidently towards a gargoyle sinking teeth in Blade's thigh and placed my hand on it burning it to ashes in an instant.

I did not wait to see Blade's reaction. Because next I moved to kill a griffin attacking Jayden who was lying under griffin's leg. I placed my palm on griffin's back and it was smoke.

The troll attacking Kasper with its big wooden stick saw me and backed off.

"I think we failed miserably so now can we go back."

The boys got up with heavy injuries and looked around a lot of vicious creatures who eyed us with intent to kill.

Suddenly I realized Celine's vision as I walked out daring anyone to touch my group and they parted to give me a path to walk free.
