Cassie and Her Bad Boy Alpha

Chapter 10

    It had been a long week for Cassie, when Sherry had found out that she was alive she hadn't left her side.  Then you add her 18th birthday coming in a few days and Sherry was in overdrive party planning mode, it was enough to drive Cassie nuts.  The upside was that they were a little closer to finding out who killed her real mother and were going to take care of everything.  Steven had even been made a member of the Black Moon pack so he could see cassie whenever he wanted to.  Tommy though had yet to tell cassie about what he had found in the library.  He knew that he should but he wanted her happy if it were the last few days alive.  She had yet to show that she had a wolf inside of her, just the wolf strength, which she loved showing off with.

    Tomy had told Steven, Jake, and his parents about what he had found and also that is Cassie did have a wolf when she turned 18 not only would she be the strongest wolf in existence but could also be used against their own kind.  He figured that is why she was taken but they still had no idea who had taken her in this first place or how she ended up in Jeff and Susan's care.  He asked them not to say anything to Cassie about anything that he had told them and especially not to tell Sarah because she wouldn't keep quiet about it, Jake agreed on that one.  

    Cassie had just about enough of party planning when Sarah caught up to her.  They decided they need a spa day and they didn't have to go far to get one, there was a spa in the neighborhood.  Cassie told Sarah that she had to ask Tommy first because of everything that was going on with her brother and ex. Even Sarah agreed with her on that.  Sarah mind-linked with Tommy and asked him to meet them in the kitchen.  Within minutes Tommy was there looking concerned "What's wrong is Cassie ok? he asked "I am fine Tommy, I was just wondering if you would have any issue with Sarah and me going to the spa. I can't mind-link you so Sarah did" "Yeah, that's fine just as long as Sarah keeps an eye on you" Sarah rolled her eyes "I promise not to let her out of my sight, Alpha." With that, they made their way to Sarah's car and headed to the spa. 

    "What is with him lately," Sarah asked Cassie "I don't know, he has been super protective since the party" Cassie replied, "I think he is just worried about the whole ordeal with James and Scott." She was silently watching out the window after that.  She was in awe at the number of houses and shops that were inside the inner circle of the pack.  They arrived at the Spa and got out of the car.  Within minutes of entering the Spa they were surrounded by employees, some Cassie recognized from the party.  They ended up having a relaxing few hours, between the Mani/Pedi and the massages Cassie couldn't have asked for a better day.  

    When they left the Spa, Tommy called to ask if she had fun and what she was up to.  She told him that they were going to grab something to eat and then they would be back.  She hung up and Sarah gave her a smile.  She told Sarah to shut up and they headed to get something to eat and head home.  Cassie had a wonderful day and the only thing that could have made it better is if she didn't have to plan a party with Sherry when she got back to the house.  

    When they got back to the packhouse they were met by Jake, who looked worried.  They got out of the car and Jake met them before they made it up the steps "What happened" Cassie asked him a flash of worry across her face "Tommy found something" that was all Jake said before he turned around and headed back in the house.  Sarah and Cassie were hot on his heels, they weren't sure what to expect when Jake led them to the office.  He opened the door and ushered both girls inside. Tommy was sitting at his desk and had a strange book in front of him that Cassie had never seen before.  He motioned everyone to sit down before he began speaking "First I want to apologize, Cassie, I should have told you about this earlier. Next, we all know that Cassie is special, she is a mix between a human and a werewolf, there haven't been any record of a hybrid happening in almost 500 years.  I looked in every book and searched the internet to see what I could find on the breed.  My father actually pointed me in the direction to find what I did.  This book is older than I can even imagine and it is the only thing I could find as far as human-wolf hybrids. You are not going to like what I found." Tommy took a breath and looked at Cassie, her eyes showing the faintest tint of black. He continued "The book I found clearly states that if a hybrid such as yourself does not show the signs of having a wolf but show the wolf strength then they may die on their 18th birthday, it also says that if they don't gain their wolf by the Fall moon then there is no chance of survival for that individual. I have looked for anything that says otherwise to no avail. I am sorry Cassie"." Everyone was shocked at what Tommy had told them. "I also found that if the person does gain their wolf by their 18th birthday they would become the most powerful wolf in the world but they could also be used to hunt the other wolves and kill them.  That is why you were taken because of what you may become and someone wanted to use you as a weapon.  We are still trying to figure out how you ended up with Jeff and Susan to care for but they know more about things than they are letting on. I think James and Scott are in on it as well but until we have solid proof there is nothing we can do to them." 

    Tommy finished and looked at Cassie, her eyes were solid black now, she wasn't happy with what she found out.  She had at worst maybe 3 days left to live and at best she became the most sought-after weapon against the werewolves. She couldn't deal with all of this right now. She fled the office and ran to her room.  She locked herself in the bathroom and cried.  It was all too much for her to comprehend. She was mad at Tommy for not telling her this sooner, she was mad at her so-called parents for what they put her through and lastly, she was mad at whoever killed her mother and took her away in the first place.  She wanted to be left alone and told everyone that came to check on her that.
