Three weeks later
I sat across the street from Lora’s house, debating whether or not I should go inside. She called me this afternoon and asked me if I could talk to Steven for her. Usually, I don’t meddle in others’ relationships because I am no expert, but she sounded desperate, so I told her I would come.
If it were any other time, I would have said no and gone about my life, but I had nothing to do, and helping people is something I enjoy doing. I finished working around 2 pm this afternoon, and the children arrived home by 4:30 pm. I made them dinner and then spent an hour with them before coming here. Aarini flew back to Belgium for some royal business last night, and I was holding down the fort until he gets back in a few days.
