" I promise you, I didn't do this I swear with the name of the moon goddess", i said to Alexis who was now in my room trying to comfort me. Alexis is my maid and she isn't actually a werewolf but she is a werecoyote and they are kinda rare to find but very tranquil.

"Come on Alina, I know you didn't do this but now the problem and the big question is ' who did it??", She said while sitting on the bed with me as I wept.

"I don't know Alexis, I really don't know but I swear I didn't do it", I said crying so intensely and banging my head in my palm with legs folded.

" Yeah now we both know you didn't do it but the others do not know the same thing. So now can you try to recall how the whole incident happened and better still try to remember if you saw anything that can help you out at this moment, any clue at least" Alexis said. I slowly stopped weeping and ruminated on what she just told me to do. I tried recalling every thing that happened yesterday night.

"Yes, Yeah I think I remember something", I said raising my head up swiftly.

" Okay then, so what do you remember Alina?" She said now looking at me keenly.

"Okay now when I went to the room that's after I heard the weird noise erupting from dad's room, the first thing I saw was a shape of a man wearing a hoodie quickly jump out of the window. Am so surprised I completely forgot about it", i said pressing my fingers together as I felt some ecstasy because I can see a ray of brightness in this dark and gloomy tunnel.

", Oh really, that's great then. But now the problem lies on how we are going to prove this to the others because they are not just to swallow what will tell them hook, line and sinker without proof.", Alexis said and now hearing this broke my resolve and tears began to role down my eyes again. Alexis got closer to me and rounded her hand behind my back in the bid to console me.

" Then what are am going to do about this Alexis, I know Brad wouldn't leave out any opportunity to inflict pain on me despite am his blood sister. I don't know why he hates me so much"I said banging my hand on my forehead.

"Calm down Alina, all is going to be fine"Alexis said and suddenly there is a bang on my door.

" Who is it?" I said raising my head up still gripped with fear.

" It's Gerald and the pack asked me to summon you as they said your presence is needed for the hearing in regards to the demise of Alpha Beckett" he said. I stared at Alexis in fear as my hand began to shiver again in fear.

" Okay, I will be there soon" I said shaking. I heard him leave as his shoe made a noise on every of his stride.

"What am I to do now Alexis? Am so scared right now", I said holding her hand tightly.

" Be calm Alina, you will go out there with your head held high because you didn't do anything. However, do not show them that you are scared, just say the truth and the moon goddess will vindicate you" alexis said to me with a broad smile and using her left hand to dab away the tears flooding my cheeks from my eyes.

" Okay, thanks Alexis" I said.

******* Now in the presence of the full pack and the meeting was presided by Elder Gonzalo and Ralph the Gamma of the pack who sat beside Gonzalo*******

" So Alina, an allegation has been laid on you by your brother that you killed your father Alpha Beckett. What do you have to say in regards to that?" Said Gonzalo in his thick and coarse voice. I stood in the middle of the whole pack.

"I swear with the name of the moon goddess that I didn't kill my father. In fact I really loved my father despite he didn't like me that much due to some factors." I said boldly.

" So what do you have to say about the fact that you were found on the crime scene?" Asked Ralph the Gamma.

" I earlier said that I was restless on bed and thirsty at the same time. I went to get water and then heard noise. I followed the noise as then it led me to my father's room and I saw him in the pool of his blood. But there's something I saw before then. When I got into the room the first thing I saw was a man that ran out through the window as soon as I came in but I was so unfortunate to know who it was because he was wearing a hoodie" I said and immediately Brad stood.

" That's a big fat lie Alina, we spoke about this yesterday but you didn't mention this and now you are fabricating this lie just so you would cover up your steps. Be rest assured that am not going to let you off the hook so easily because you are going to pay dearly for killing my Dad", he said angrily pointing fingers at me.

"Brad sit down and comport yourself. She is in fact right because I know.she didn't do it." Gonzalo said and my eyes and that of the others broadened in surprise.

", What do you mean Gonzalo?"Brad asked immediately still standing.

" Yes she didn't kill Beckett, yes she didn't. Now y'all know am the only werewolf here who has the ability to see someone's past. After I told everyone to leave, I went back to Beckett's room and inserting my claws into the nape on his neck I could see everything that had happened but the only flaw was that the killer was wearing a hoodie and am going to make sure to get him" Gonzalo said and I couldn't help but leave my mouth open and my Jaw fallen.

"This is a big lie Gonzalo and i don't know why you are conspiring with Alina. If you claim you saw this, what then did they discuss and why then couldn't you see his face" Brad roared.

"I would have seen all if he was still alive but he had died for a while and his memory was been wiped off slowly and that's the only part I could see and thankfully it helped in saving Alina" he said. The rest pack members just sat and watched the whole drama murmuring.

" Conspiracy!!!! This is pure conspiracy"brad wailed.

"Be silent Brad, I won't take insolence from you. My verdict is Alina is free and hereby acquitted of all the charges leveled against her."he said and stood up from his seat. I was surprised as well and didn't even know what to say at the moment and just dropped my jaw and opened my eyes and eyebrows.

******* Now strolling in the city with Alexis after the hearing*****

" I really can't believe that just like that am free of the allegations leveled against me by Brad, like I am really surprise" I said to Alexis as we strolled. I wore a white long gown while Alexis wore a green short flare gown.

" Really, I was really surprised as well. Thanks to Elder Gonzalo you are free from Brads claws at least for now" Alexis said.

"But am so sad that my dad just died and most of all he was murdered. Am gonna make sure I find out who did this and why" I said gnashing my teeth together like a wounded lion.

" That's something to worry about but I think there is something else you should worry about Alina" she said, I stopped walking and gazed at her.

" And what's that?" I said.

"How about you think of getting another mate Alina. Since the death of Daniel, you have refused to mate with anyone else and it's three years now after the death of Daniel" she said and it struck me differently because I wasn't expecting it at all.

" Alexis I keep telling you that I don't need a mate and why can't you stop pestering me on that topic" I said and turned my look aside.

"Sorry to say but Alina you know you can't morph to wolf and that really makes you vulnerable and that's why everyone wants to take advantage of you, but I feel when you have a mate he is going to protect you in times like this" Alexis said

"Hi ladies"came a voice from behind us, we both turned and we jammed eyes with a young man with sharp long face which was covered with beards and with a dimpled smile. He was dressed in a nice red shirt and brown pants with matching Black shoes.....
